Posture in Lockdown! With us sitting and lying down more than usual, our muscles & joints are tightening & the right muscles to keep us upright & strong are switching off! Do these 3 Key Pilates moves to keep your posture on point whilst at home! 👌🏼 ✅Shoulder Bridge - Activates the glutes & opens the chest & spine! Lie on your back, feet hip width & parallel, arms long by your side! Inhale lift your hips, pressing the back of your arms into the floor as you hold the breath for 3 seconds then exhale articulate the spine one vertebrae at a time! Do 5 x ✅Swimming - Great to stretch out your hips & chest whilst working your entire back line. Lie on your stomach arms reached above palms facing down with legs long & stretched to the back. Lift your right arm and left leg & then switch sides. Keep your abs engaged lift your head & alternate as you flutter up and down reaching as far as you can away from your center for a count of 10 secs! Finish by sitting on your heels for a nice stretch to lower back. ✅Saw variation - Great for rotation of the spine & cleansing the lungs & organs. Sit upright with your legs outreached slightly wider than your hip sockets. (Knees can stay soft or bend if hips & thighs are tight). Hands on top of one another behind head. Inhale lift the spine as you exhale rotate to the right side. Keep lifting as you inhales to center & exhale deeply to the other side! Repeat 3 x on each side Do these exercises daily to minimize restricted mobility & fatigue & to help improve your posture! 💪🏼 Enjoy! ❤️
