In today's webinar, ISPO presented its trade fair concept for the end of November 2025. The boundaries between the traditional sports business and related industries such as fashion, wellness, technology, and entertainment are becoming increasingly blurred.

The conscious decision to reschedule ISPO Munich seeks to offers numerous advantages for exhibitors and visitors. Among other advantages, the postponement makes it easier for retailers to attend the event and creates additional space for sharing and inspiration.

After 28 successful years at Messe München, Tobias Gröber is leaving the company at the end of April 2025 and is taking up a new and responsible challenge within the trade fair industry. At Messe München he is the Division Manager for the consumer good trade fairs. As Executive Director Tobias Gröber is responsible for the international ISPO Group, including the OutDoor, for INHORGENTA, Europe‘s leading trade fair for jewelry, watches and gemstones, and since 2020 also for IAA MOBILITY‘s Munich team.

Markets around the world are undergoing realignment, and the sports and health industry is actively shaping their makeover. ISPO Munich 2024 showed what is important: health, technology and a new understanding of sport.

ISPO Munich, the world’s leading trade fair for the sports industry and the world’s largest sports business event, is about to begin and will soon present the prestigious ISPO Awards to the most innovative products and newcomers of tomorrow. The ISPO Awards are regarded as a global driving force for the sports industry. Showcasing the latest trends and innovations in product design, materials and digital solutions, these awards set new standards for the future of the sports industry. The best products of 2024 will be honoured at ISPO Munich in December and can be seen at the ISPO Award area in Hall B1 from 3 to 5 December 2024. At the same time, newcomers to the sports and outdoor industry will be given a stage at ISPO Brandnew, the largest start-up competition in the sports business, where they will present their innovative products in exciting live pitches during ISPO Munich. The grand finale will take place on the second day of the event on the Main Stage.

Rethink the world of sports and shape it together: that’s what ISPO Munich 2024 (3 to 5 December 2024) is calling for with this year’s main topics Retail & Sustainability, Health & Fashion, and Tech/AI & Sports Extended. With over 2,400 exhibitors, topic-specific hubs and an extensive programme featuring prominent speakers, the upcoming event will set new standards and show how technology, sustainability and health are revolutionising the sports industry. With a total of five conferences, the accompanying conference programme offers deeper insights into various topics. And for the first time this year, on 2 December 2024, one day before the official start of the trade fair, there will be an exclusive ISPO Munich Media Day with a preview of the trade fair and exclusive media talks with high-ranking guests.

The new concept of OutDoor 2025 was developed in close collaboration with international industry and trade representatives to address the changing needs of the outdoor industry in the wake of the pandemic. The focus is on new and flexible participation options that enable brands to showcase their products, innovations and brand messages in an accurately targeted and custom-tailored way. All participation options can now be booked online. Under the motto “From Buying to Selling”, OutDoor from 19 to 21 May 2025 will not only enable visitors to expand their own business potential, but will also offer all stakeholders in the outdoor industry a platform for exchange and inspiration along the entire value chain. Interested individuals who already schedule an appointment at ISPO Munich 2024 will receive a free ISPO Munich ticket. In addition, the new concept will be presented in a webinar on 14 November.
