Pabst most recently worked for nine years on the board of the company Willy Bogner, whose headquarters are in Munich, Germany, where he was responsible for the divisions of Sales and Marketing. However, Pabst also has an outdoor past: He worked at Boards & More as well as in his family’s textile company and as a Senior Associate at McKinsey. Now he will succeed Rolf G. Schmid, whose departure was announced in May.

Mammut CEO “ideally meets the requirements”

After a degree in Business Administration, Pabst completed his doctorate at the University of St. Gallen. Ex-CEO Schmid, who will continue to lead the business until he hands over, also studied Business Administration at the elite Swiss University.

“Oliver Pabst has an outstanding performance track record and ideally fulfils the requirements for the successful implementation of our growth strategy”, says Michael Willome, Conzzetta Group CEO. Willome envisages significant growth in a five-year plan – Schmid was no longer trusted with this following weakening figures in fiscal 2015 . The fact that Schmid stated in an interview with ISPO.COM that he especially saw structural problems did not ultimately help him to keep his post.
