ISPO Brandnew | Selection Future Mobility | Tocsen
Outdoor enthusiasts who spend time alone in nature are faced with a dangerous problem: If you take a hard fall, you may no longer be in a position to call for help yourself. A start-up called Tocsen provides a crash sensor and app setup that fits onto any hard-shell helmet. It recognizes if a mountain biker takes a spill, for example, and will ask if everything is ok. After 30 seconds without an answer, the app alerts private emergency contacts and Tocsen users in the vicinity – including GPS data and information about the accident. The rechargeable battery is designed to last about three months.
