Marmot Mountain Europe GmbH closes its site in Schwaig, near Nuremberg. Hattersheim near Frankfurt will be the new European headquarters. In addition, Managing Director Andy Schimeck is leaving the company.

In Hattersheim near Frankfurt, all activities of the US-American outdoor equipment supplier Marmot are now taken over by the sister company Coleman EMEA GmbH. The parent company Newell Brands is also located there. With the move, all European business is now concentrated in one location. In 2017 Newell Brands sold its winter sports division with the brands K2, Völkl, Marker, Dalbello, Madshus, Line, Full Tilt, Atlas, Tubbs, Ride and BCA.

Schimeck leaves the Group, Schapmann new Managing Director

Managing Director Andreas Schimeck, who has helped to build up Marmot's European business since 2003, leaves the company. The previous Marketing & Sales Director Jan Schapmann will be the new Managing Director of Marmot Europe. The entire restructuring of Marmot Mountain Europe GmbH will take place during the course of the year.
