The most innovative products, the most exciting technologies and the most progressive companies – at ISPO ON SNOW PREVIEW on 15 January in the Garmisch-Classic ski area, the media representatives invited got to see nothing less than the future of winter sports.

At the top station of the Kreuzeck cable car the TV teams and bloggers got the chance to try out the products ISPO AWARD and ISPO BRANDNEW-Winner of the year 2016 – directly, which is to say, even before ISPO MUNICH and many months before the products will then be available on the market to end consumers in the season 2016/17.

From ISPO AWARD category, BLACKYAK, Marker Völkl, Uvex, ABS, Nordica, Ortovox, Reusch, Head and Atomic presented the most important innovations. ISPO BRANDNEW prizewinners Boot Bananas, Sauba beinand, GIPFLbag, ProteGear, ARYS, FlowStick, Ünique Skis and BioLite were on site.

With light wind, snowfall and temperatures slightly below freezing, the pistes of Garmisch below the Alpspitze provided realistic conditions for the media representatives’ tests – from shoe warmers, to custom skis, to completely reworked ski goggles.

“The event is a sneak preview of next season’s innovations”, says Tobias Gröber, Director of ISPO Group. “In this way, we present innovations in the snow to sports enthusiasts around the globe. Because innovations are, so to speak, the fuel of the sector.”
