The third day of ISPO Munich 2019 had a lot to offer. Besides the opening of the China Deep Dive Conference in hall C6, Olympic winner Julius Brink (beach volleyball), Olympic ski champion Anna Veith and Germany's fastest woman Gina Lückenkemper were guests. The evening ends with the VIP dinner. 

ISPO Munich is the largest sports business trade fair in the world.

6:22 p.m. Time for the ISPO VIP Dinner

While the official part of the third day transforms into booth parties in the exhibition halls, preparations for the ISPO VIP Dinner are getting underway at the ICM. There, biathlon legend Ole Einar Björndalen will be awarded the ISPO Cup in the evening. The event officially starts at 7 p.m.

5 p.m. esports at its best in hall C6

in the eSports Arena in hall C6 the AMD Rocket League Masters tournament has started in cooperation with Sport1.

 

2:50 p.m. Alibaba at the China Deep Dive Conference

Karl Wehner, Managing Director at Alibaba Germany, starts his presentation at the China Deep Dive Conference in hall C6 with a New Year's wish. The Year of the Pig has begun today.

1:48 p.m. Olympic ski champion Anna Veith: Focus on health

13:31 Start of China Deep Dive Conference

Klaus Dittrich, Chairman and CEO of Messe München, opens the China Deep Dive Conference on the ISPO Acadmey stage in Hall C6: "The market in China is very interesting," says Dittrich. "The Chinese government has made a clear commitment to get more people involved in sports. The opportunities for growth are immense".

ISPO maintains excellent relations with China, the platform for sports professionals has been organising sports fairs in the most populous country in the world for 15 years.

11:29 a.m. Olympic Champion Brink at ISPO Munich

Julius Brink, former world champion and Olympic champion in beach volleyball, walks through the halls of ISPO Munich today, and talks about his 2012 Olympic triumph in London. "It's not as if I get up every morning and put the medal around my neck," said Julius Brink when asked if he still thinks about it. He doesn't feel like a star either: "I travelled with the U2 like everyone else today," laughed Brink. Nevertheless, the former beach volleyball player likes to look back on his triumph.

Icaros CEO Michael Schmidt is now on the eSports stage in hall C6! Icaros is truely about "sports" in eSports: intensive training and competition in Virtual Reality. Icaros combines training & gaming. The goal is a playful training design and a workout that is fun!

07:20 a.m. Day 3 at ISPO Munich 2019 Is Coming Up

Let's start into Tuesday at ISPO Munich! Today, again, stars and experts of the sports industry gather on the grounds of Messe München. Among others: Sprinter Gina Lückenkemper - the fastest woman in Germany. 

The Chinese sports market will also be in the spotlight during Chinese New Year: top-class guests will be speaking in Hall C6 at the first edition of the "China Deep Dive Conference"
