January 2022: Action at the Arctic Circle and in the heat

If you want, you can start running in Zurich at midnight sharp into the year 2022. You can also run in Tromsø, north of the Arctic Circle, in the dark and in wintry temperatures. But there are also warmer alternatives, for example in Hawaii, India, Bangladesh or Cambodia.

March 2022: City Marathons in Tokyo and Rome

After the Tokyo Marathon 2021 could not be held, it is to be held in March 2022. This will make it the first World Marathon Major of the calendar year. With events in Rome and Seoul, however, two other metropolises are also enticing with their events.

November 2022: New York, New York!

The best, or at least biggest, comes at the end: The TCS New York City Marathon is the marathon with the most participants in the world. If you like it a little smaller, the Frauenfeld Marathon is a good place to be. Many other dates, such as that of the annual Marseille Marathon, have not yet been set.

December 2022: Many dates still unknown

Numerous dates for December are also not yet fixed. If the Corona pandemic allows it, there are marathons around the world on the programme for the end of the year, such as famous marathons in Cancun (Mexico), Barbados, Tunis, Honolulu or Sacramento.
