Exchange new perspectives and shape the future together: The greatest minds of the global sports business community will meet at ISPO Munich 2023 from 28 - 30 November. More than 1,600 exhibitors will present their innovative products and show "New Perspectives on Sports". We asked brands what they have planned for you at ISPO Munich 2023.

What does ISPO Munich mean to you?

For us, ISPO means being part of the global outdoor and winter sports community. As the market leader for functional children's clothing, we are very happy to present our brand again to a growing number of visitors after a few years of absence. It means a lot to us to be back and celebrate ISPO with the visitors and our partners. It is a very special year for us, because we will present our birthday collection - Reima celebrates its 80th birthday in 2024 - as well as new innovations in sustainable clothing.

The motto of ISPO Munich is "New Perspectives on Sports" - why does the industry need new perspectives now and what do you bring to the table?

Our main concern and reason for existence is the health and future of all children. We're not so much talking about sports, or any sport in general, but offering clothing that allows kids to do everyday activities and enjoy playing, while lowering the inhibition threshold for kids to discover different sports in whatever weather. All under the motto "Kids will be Kids".

What can visitors to ISPO Munich look forward to this year?

Reima AW24 is a bold and beautiful collection based on our Nordic design heritage that inspires kids to be active and adventurous. Of course, as in every collection, our commitment to our famous Reima quality and durability remains. At the same time, we are placing more and more emphasis on the responsibility of our materials. At AW24, the percentage of our styles with sustainable materials is over 90%, which we are very happy about. We have even more bluesign products in the collection, our wool in clothing is 100% RWS (Responsible Wool Standard) certified, softshell and fleece are made from recycled materials. Furthermore, we celebrate our 80th birthday in 2024, visitors* can look forward to wonderful campaigns, great patterns and cuts.

We are at ISPO Munich because....

We are happy to be part of this great community again and to push the industry together. Of course, we also visit ISPO to gain new business partners, as well as to open up new markets for our sales. A trade show as big and relevant as ISPO is perfect to exchange and meet with important key stakeholders in the industry. It's just a lot of fun to be part of the big picture and to take the spirit and momentum into the new season.

What does ISPO mean for you? 

ISPO is a great opportunity for Polartec to connect with multiple stakeholders in the sport business community: from designers to product managers, leadership teams and directors, from media to digital content creators to mention a few. As a premium creator of innovative and more sustainable textile solutions we continuously develop performance fabrics to shape the future of the market and meet today’s and future demand and ISPO gives us the chance to reinforce our mission within the industry.

Which “New Perspective on Sports” does the market need, and what does Polartec contribute? 

We all know that future consumers will be seeking and creating demand for more sustainable options, products that could do more. This is what our customers (brands) and end consumers are demanding. The new perspectives on sports need to encompass Brands that are truly creating future thinking products for ethical and progressive living. We are a brand on a journey to being true leaders in sustainability for over 30 years. We are doing more to make better products that benefit our planet.

What can visitors look forward to this year on Polartecs exhibition stand? 

During ISPO we will present the upgrade of two of our legacy product platforms now using Biolon™, plant-based nylon fiber, and Membrane film that sets a new standard in sustainable performance fabrics. Biolon™ is a renewable, non-GMO plant-based nylon with a 50% lower carbon footprint than virgin Nylon 6.6, the gold standard against which other nylons are measured. Biolon™ nylon properties are closer to Nylon 6.6 than many recycled nylon alternatives currently on the market. Biolon™ has re-worked a staple, making the best better in terms of performance and sustainability. Its plant-based inputs account for approximately half (45-48%) of the nylon content in the fibers and membrane films in the new Polartec® Power Shield™ and Power Stretch™ Pro fabrics debuting this fall.

What does ISPO Munich mean to you?

We are happy to participate in this year's ISPO, to get in touch with retailers, media representatives and interested people. It is a very good opportunity for us to exchange news and present Darn Tough's history, goals, values and our new socks.

The motto of ISPO Munich is "New Perspectives on Sports" - Why does the industry need new perspectives now and what do you bring to the table?

Functionality and comfort are becoming increasingly important when it comes to gear - and that starts with socks. Darn Tough has been offering premium socks for active outdoorsmen for almost 20 years, without compromising on functionality and comfort, with a lifetime warranty (40 years in Germany).

What can visitors to ISPO Munich look forward to this year?

We will present our new products for fall/winter 24/25 and show a wide range of individual patterns, colors, heights and padding. We will present our new hiking, skiing and lifestyle models. Visitors* can look forward to our classics, which we are relaunching to celebrate our 20th anniversary in 2024.

What does ISPO Munich mean to you?

We look forward to the get-together of the industry, because to a certain extent the industry lives from the get-together. Of course, the presentation of the new collection is also part of it, as well as talking about marketing concepts and cooperation opportunities. ISPO thus offers a good platform for brand building.

The motto of ISPO Munich is "New Perspectives on Sports" - why does the industry need new perspectives now and what do you bring to the table?

Climate change will also bring changes to sports - from our point of view, positioning ourselves for the future will only succeed if we work together. It is important for us to provide our customers with tools and the right information on how to deal with future challenges. In our case, for example, the fact that wool is not synonymous with winter and is only ever warm. I think that sharing and thinking together about new approaches is important.

What can visitors to ISPO Munich look forward to this year?

We're celebrating 170 years of Devold in the fall. And at the same time, we will use this year's ISPO to present our strategy for the future. Our partners can look forward to news from Norway.

We are at ISPO Munich because...

... we like to exchange ideas with our customers in person. We enjoy showing our concepts and the new products for HW24, taking direct feedback and informing and inspiring each other. I believe that it is important to listen to the wishes and feedback of our retail partners in order to remain successful as a brand.

The motto of ISPO Munich is "New Perspectives on Sports" - why does the industry need new perspectives now and what do you bring to the table?
When I think of new perspectives, I naturally think of the PFAS issue, which concerns us all, that we bring sustainable products to the market that do not harm the environment. We all have to work together to make the world a little cleaner.

What can visitors to ISPO Munich look forward to this year?
We are already working on new perspectives. We are completely PFAS-free from 2024, the entire collection, we have a repair service, we try to produce as sustainably as possible and are on a very, very good path. The visitors can look forward to some insights.

...we want to present our event, our new products, our new collections. And we want to see the people in the Scandinavian Village.
