With the Ultra Snow Jacket, Superdry has created a ski and snowboard jacket that not only looks the part but also combines technical performance with sustainability.

The Snow Ultra Jacket is Superdry's most sustainable technical snow jacket. The challenge for the product team was to incorporate as many sustainable solutions as possible without sacrificing performance. And, as the British brand is known for its distinct design and style, the Snow Ultra Jacket is also true to both. Available in sulphur springs, a vibrant yellow, or a sleek black, the jacket caters to both snow sports enthusiasts who want to be seen but also such who want a timeless piece in terms of color.

Superdry’s most sustainable technical snow jacket to date

The breathable and waterproof jacket is made largely from recycled fibers. Superdry uses chemically recycled polyester fabrics from We Are Spindye as the main material, lining, and mesh. What makes Spindye special is primarily the dyeing process, in which the color is already introduced into the yarn during the spinning process, and not - as is usually the case - applied to the woven fabric. This spin-dyeing process is much more resource-saving, for example, it uses less water, is more efficient, and also guarantees excellent color performance. For the product, GRS-certified recycled polyester (rPET) from recycled clothes is used. Overall, the outer material of the Superdry Snow Ultra Jacket is made of 95 per cent recycled polyester, and linings and other components, such as the YKK Natulon® Zippers feature some recycled materials as well.

Superdry Snow Ultra Jacket: 100 per cent recycled insulation material

The padding of the Superdry Snow Ultra Jacket is made from 100 per cent recycled insulation material. As an insulation material, Superdry uses particularly resource-saving PrimaLoft® P.U.R.E.™ and recycled ThermoPlume®. ThermoPlume consists of flakes that are blown into quilted chambers like down. They are similarly light and warm as down, yet not as sensitive to moisture and humidity. These high-performance insulations have been ergonomically placed in the jacket in varying weights and layers to optimize thermal regulation.

Clever features and fashionable details

The jacket also features ergonomically cut sleeves to reduce drag during movement, integrated Cohaesive™ adjusters, a half-dropped hood with a drawstring for adjustment, and a self-sealing magnetic storm flap, making the jacket very intuitive and distraction-free to use as well as adjustable to your needs. Sizing is available from XS to XXL.

The jacket also includes a Recco™ reflector that allows rescue workers to use RECCO detectors to locate people who are lost or in avalanche accidents. The waterproofness of the outer layer comes in at 20,000/mm and the jacket features coated zippers as well as fully sealed seams - to prevent water penetration. So even under the high pressure of the elements, for example, heavy rain and wet snow, the wearer stays dry and comfortable. A breathability level of 20,000/mm adds to this comfort and provides airflow for very high-level activities. Four outside pockets and an inside pocket with a zipper allow you to store all the things you need and want to take with you when out and about on the snow. Superdry also offers matching Snow Ultra Pants to go with the Snow Ultra Jacket for a complete look on the slopes.
