General

Do I need a visa to visit the trade show?

In general, nationals of and visitors from EU member states do not require a visa to enter the Federal Republic of Germany. All other participants require a visa without restrictions. Your booked ticket does not replace the visa invitation letter. Detailed information on visa application can be found on our visa service page.

Where can I find the information about arrival & stay?

Whether you want to travel to the exhibition center by plane, car, train or public transportation, we have provided you with comprehensive information and research options compiled for you.

Can I use WLAN free of charge on the exhibition grounds?

Messe München offers visitors to OutDoor by ISPO or ISPO Munich free wireless Internet access (WLAN) at the trade show center. The free WLAN access applies to all parallel events, conferences, special events and forums within the exhibition halls, entrances and the atrium. Availability is based on the halls, entrances and associated atrium area occupied by the event. Please note that the reception quality of superstructures, exhibits and other sources in the halls is affected and therefore cannot be guaranteed.

How can I stay up to date with the latest news and developments at ISPO?

To be always informed, we regularly offer electronic newsletters. You can register for news on various topics such as trade shows, the ISPO Award, ISPO Brandnew and much more. Just use the newsletter registration on our website. As soon as you have submitted the registration form, you will immediately be added to the newsletter distribution list. This way you won't miss any important information anymore!

Where can I find a directory of exhibiting brands & companies?

An overview of all exhibiting companies, their products and company profiles is available in our exhibitor portal is available. Currently you can view the exhibitor portal of ISPO Munich 2023.

In addition, there will be an ISPO Munich app for your cell phone shortly before the trade show, which will directly access the exhibitor portal and thus provide you with convenient access to all information at ISPO Munich.

Can I take my dog on the premises?

We kindly inform you that the house rules of the Munich trade show do not allow animals on the trade show grounds. Exceptions are guide dogs for the blind and other assistance dogs.

How can vouchers be redeemed?

Vouchers for ISPO can be redeemed here.

You can redeem your voucher for a free Print@home Ticket or Mobile Ticket in our ticket ordering portal. Online vouchers can only be redeemed for a Print@home Ticket or Mobile Ticket online by entering the 14-digit online voucher number. There will be no redemption or exchange on site.

For you as an invited visitor, the Print@home Ticket is free of charge, as the costs for the ticket are borne by the exhibitor from whom you received the invitation. Since the exhibitor is only charged if you actually visit the trade show and pass through the turnstile, no separate information or cancellation is required from the ticket service in the event of non-use.

What do I need if I want to buy a ticket online or redeem a voucher?

  • A current Internet browser.
  • A valid e-mail address so that the Print@home ticket can be sent to you.
  • An Adobe PDF reader to view the online ticket.
  • A valid credit card (Visa, Master, American Express) for payment or a German bank account to use Giropay, a paper voucher or an online voucher number for redemption.

The Print@home ticket is only valid in conjunction with an official photo ID. Upon request, the official photo ID must be presented to the staff at the admission control.

Is my ticket transferable?

No, Tickets with personal data (e.g. with your name) are generally not transferable.

Important: As online tickets are personal and non-transferable, an official photo ID must be presented in the event of an on-site check. Any barcode that has already been cancelled will be recognized as such by the electronic admission control system and the ticket holder of a copied or duplicated online ticket will be denied admission.

If you have lost your ticket and are concerned that someone may use it to visit the trade fair, please contact us by e-mail at registrierung@messe-munechen.de so that your lost ticket can be blocked.

How do I get my Print@home ticket?

Once you have completed your online ticket order, all you need to do is download the Print@home ticket directly using Adobe Reader, save it or print it straight away.

In addition, you will receive the Print@home ticket as a PDF attachment sent to the e-mail address you specified (sender: registrierung@messe-muenchen.de). You can print the ticket directly using Adobe Reader or click on the link in the e-mail to print your ticket.

In exceptional cases, if the server is overloaded, it may take up to 24 hours to send the ticket.

What can I do if I have neglected to save my Print@home ticket after completing the order AND have not received an e-mail with my Print@home ticket?

  • After a successful order, you will receive your Print@home ticket by e-mail. You should receive this e-mail immediately, but no later than 24 hours after placing your order.
  • In rare cases, e-mails end up in the spam filter of your mailbox. Please check your spam mailbox or contact your administrator.
  • You may have entered your e-mail address incorrectly when entering your customer data. Please contact our visitor hotline at the following phone number +49 89 949-20720 or by e-mail to registrierung@messe-muenchen.de

Can an ordered ticket be cancelled?

If the customer is a consumer according to § 13 BGB (German Civil Code), the customer may revoke his contractual declaration in text form (e.g. letter, fax, e-mail) within two weeks without stating reasons. The revocation is possible within the revocation period only up to the time when the ticket loses its validity.

Can I also show the ticket with my smartphone or tablet upon entry?

Yes, the readers at the turnstiles recognize the barcode displayed on your ticket and you can use the ticket as a mobile ticket.

Is my ticket also valid as a ticket for public transport?

The use of public transport is not included in the admission ticket.

Where can I find my trade show Munich customer profile?

You will find the link to your customer profile in your ticket email.

Please activate your customer profile with the login and password you received. In the customer profile, you can change your address or call up and print tickets and receipts / invoices.

Why should I activate my trade show Munich customer profile?

  • In the customer profile, all purchased or redeemed tickets are made available to you for downloading and printing.
  • For purchased tickets, the receipt / invoice is stored there for printing.
  • You can check and change the data you have entered.

Registration

How do I register as an exhibitor?

Here you will find the online registration as well as information on prices and conditions for main exhibitors of ISPO Munich 2023. The registration deadline for main exhibitors is May 14, 2023.

The registration for OutDoor by ISPO 2024 for exhibitors can be found here.

After successful registration the main exhibitor will receive a link to the online registration for co-exhibitors.

How do I register a co-exhibitor?

When registering online, the main exhibitor receives a link that the co-exhibitor can use to register directly at this booth. By passing on the link, the main exhibitor authorizes the co-exhibitor to exhibit at his booth. He hereby confirms that his co-exhibitor will be represented with staff and with his own offer, rights or services.

If you wish to register as a co-exhibitor, please contact your main exhibitor directly.

The participation of co-exhibitors is free of charge. A mandatory communication fee of 658.00 EUR will be charged for each co-exhibitor.

How do I register as a start-up?

Is the registration binding?

The registration for ISPO Munich or OutDoor by ISPO is non-binding until the confirmation of the placement proposal on your part, i.e. a cancellation of the registration is possible until then without incurring any costs.

Nevertheless, we need your completed online registration in advance in order to process your data for the placement.

What happens if I want to cancel my registration?

A registration is initially non-binding and not associated with any costs. Cancellation fees will only be incurred if you wish to return your stand space after your confirmation of the placement proposal.

Cancellation of the stand space must always be made in writing to ispomunich@messe-muenchen.de in writing.

In the event that Messe München GmbH is able to sublet the stand space to a new exhibitor, the cancellation fees will amount to 25% of the participation fee plus the registration fee. If subletting is not possible, 100% of the participation fee and the registration fee will be charged. The exact rules for cancelling a contract can be found in the General Conditions of Participation A under A5.

Placement

When does the stand allocation start?

The planning of the halls begins with the registration deadline. The placement proposals will then be sent out from mid-July 2023. The placement offer will include your exact positioning in the respective hall.

Can I specify a desired placement?

With your registration you can indicate your preferred stand positions. During the planning phase, we will do our best to take into account the stand preferences of all registered companies. However, please understand that we cannot fulfill all wishes.

Admission/Invoicing

When will I receive the admission invoice?

You will receive the admission invoice after confirmation of your placement proposal in summer 2023 and must be paid immediately.

The admission invoice includes the following items (cf. Conditions of Participation B 3):

  • Stand area (participation fee)
  • AUMA fee
  • Obligatory communication fee
  • Waste disposal fee
  • Energy cost surcharge
  • Service advance payment

The Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA) charges all exhibitors a contribution of EUR 0.60 per square meter of rented exhibition space. This contribution is calculated by Messe München GmbH and paid directly to AUMA.

Further information on the admission invoice:

Mandatory communication contribution: All exhibitors will be charged a mandatory communication fee of EUR 658.00 for each of their booths. The mandatory communication fee includes the basic entry in the trade fair media as well as additional communication services (digital or printed, see B 12 Media Services).

Disposal fee: The obligatory flat-rate waste disposal fee of EUR 6.10 per square meter covers the disposal of waste generated by the exhibitor on his stand during set-up and dismantling, as well as during the entire duration of the trade fair. The disposal of production waste, entire stand elements and complete exhibition stands is excluded from this.

Energy cost surcharge: An energy cost surcharge of 5.00 EUR/m² of rented exhibition space will be levied. Due to the recent sharp rise in energy prices, Messe München GmbH has been forced to levy this energy cost surcharge in addition.

Advance payments for services: The advance payment for services is 15.00 EUR/m2

You are not authorized to participate in the trade show until your admission invoice has been settled.

Is there an electronic invoice dispatch?

In your registration you can indicate whether you would like to receive our invoices as a PDF document attached to an e-mail or whether you would like to receive the invoices as a printout by mail.

If you agree to receive invoices electronically, we ask you to provide a non-personalized e-mail address of your accounting department, if possible, which is accessible to all employees in the accounting department.

How do I book services for my trade fair appearance?

Our Technical Exhibitor Service (TAS) - Department 2 will support you with questions and orders regarding the technology of your exhibition stand.

The exhibitor service offices are located in the atrium in front of halls B2 and B5. Staffing and opening hours vary depending on the event.

Which forwarding company can I contact for transportation?

Our two official forwarding agents, Kühne + Nagel and Schenker Deutschland, offer you worldwide and national transport to the Munich trade fair venue, customs clearance, and on-site handling, including stand delivery and temporary storage.

Furthermore, they support you with all other logistical challenges in connection with your trade fair appearance.

How do I receive my exhibitor certificate as an exhibitor?

Each exhibitor will receive free exhibitor passes depending on booth size. You can find the scale in our prices and conditions conditions. For the OutDoor by ISPO click here.

Via the exhibitor store you will get to the ticket management. Here you can personalize your exhibitor passes. In addition to the free exhibitor passes, you can order further passes here. The exhibitor passes will be sent by e-mail after the admission invoice has been paid by the main exhibitor.

How can I book meeting rooms?

The exhibition center has a large number of conference and meeting rooms that can be rented for presentations, meetings and events via the Exhibitor Shop.

Who belongs to the approved group of trade visitors at OutDoor by ISPO / ISPO Munich and how do I prove that I am one of them?

1. Business ticket retail: This ticket is exclusively for people who work at a retailer from the categories listed below. The following retailers with products from the sports, outdoor or fashion sectors are eligible for this ticket:

  • Multi-Brand Retailers / Retail Shops (brick-and-mortar, omni-channel or online).
  • Multi-Brand Resort Shops
  • Retailers who are members of a purchasing cooperative
  • Retail chains and department stores
  • Wholesalers & distributors who have multiple brands under contract
  • Trade agencies
  • Commercial agents

Proof of legitimacy

  • Commercial register excerpts or business registration - retail / wholesale / distributor / commercial agent
  • Order invoices (at least from 2018 for larger order units/quantities, min. 1,000 €) - retail / wholesale / distributor / commercial agent
  • Delivery certificates (at least from 2018 for larger order units/quantities, min. 1,000 €) - retail / wholesale / distributor / sales representative

2. Business Permanent Ticket: This ticket is exclusively for Sports Business Professionals from the following categories:

  • Sports Clubs & Sports/Fashion/Tourism Associations.
  • Sports organizers
  • Sports medicine, rehabilitation facilities, physiotherapy
  • Sports teachers as well as coaches & fitness trainers
  • Athletes
  • Digital & technology solution providers
  • Agency / Consulting (Event, PR, Marketing, Sustainability, Digital)
  • Sports media (online and/or offline) that cannot be accredited as journalists
  • Politicians with activities in the field of sports and sustainability
  • Investors looking for innovations in sports, outdoor and sustainability

Proof of legitimacy

  • Commercial register excerpts or business registration - agency, sports/tourism association, sports club, sports organizer, sports media, solution provider (technology & digital), investors, NGOs

3. Business permanent ticket brands/manufacturers: This ticket must be purchased by individuals working for manufacturers not exhibiting at OutDoor by ISPO 2024. These include:

  • Brand manufacturers
  • Contract manufacturers

  • Accessories manufacturers

  • This ticket must be purchased by brands and manufacturers without exhibitor participation
  • No proof of legitimacy required
