Together with the leading sports and outdoor brands, retailers and industry associations, Messe München has made the decision:
ISPO Munich will be permanently moved from January to November. The next one will take place from November 28 to 30, 2023 .
There is also a date shift for OutDoor by ISPO: It will take place from June 4 to 6, 2023.
For similar reasons as for the November date of ISPO Munich. The date at the beginning of June for Outdoor by ISPO fits much better into our customers' strategic planning. As a kick-off at the beginning of the season, it gives them the opportunity to get an early overview of the season's new products, so that they can then start the subsequent ordering season better and optimize their product range. It perfectly complements ISPO Munich in November and helps us to strengthen the position of Outdoor by ISPO as the leading trade show for the outdoor industry. This is also what our partners wanted.
The decision is based on a comprehensive survey of our customers, and was reflected upon and validated with our Advisory Board and the conceptual sponsors. As the organizer, the final decision is of course made by Messe München.
The latest information on our protection and hygiene concept can be found on the Messe München website. Please note that we are continuously working on these regulations.
Photography on the exhibition grounds/MOC is only permitted with the prior approval of Messe München.
We kindly inform you that the house rules of Messe München do not allow animals on the exhibition grounds. Exceptions are guide dogs for the blind and other assistance dogs.
However, animals are allowed in the MOC - Event Center Messe München.
In general, nationals of and visitors from EU member states do not require a visa to enter the Federal Republic of Germany. All other participants are generally subject to visa requirements without restriction. Your booked ticket does not replace the visa invitation letter. You can find the link to your customer profile here. If you no longer have your access data, please use the "Forgotten password" function. You can view invoices and change address data via your account.
- In the customer profile, all purchased or redeemed tickets are made available to you for downloading and printing.
- The receipts or invoices for your purchased tickets are stored there for printing.
- You can check and change the data you have entered.
|From our discussions with customers and partners, it was very quickly clear that the right time for the trade fair had absolute priority. Since the exhibition center in Munich was simply not available at the desired time in 2022, it was decided to relocate to the MOC - Event Center Messe München.|
After full success, the trade fair will be held there again in 2023. This even has the advantage that all the well-known brands are already present in the outdoor, sports and shoe order center located there, thus offering good brand coverage. In addition, thanks to the industrial look (as a former Deutsche Bahn repair plant), the staging possibilities in the areas of the directly adjacent Motorworld are different from those in classic exhibition halls.
Motorworld is an event site located directly opposite the MOC - Event Center Messe München. Due to their cool industrial look, the spaces available there are ideally suited for the presentation of outdoor fashion brands, start-ups, future conferences or simply for events and parties. Indoor as well as outdoor. This combination of MOC - Event Center Messe München and Motorworld has already been practiced very successfully by other event organizers in Munich for years and has proven to be very successful due to the proximity and the different staging and usage possibilities.
The main goal of OutDoor by ISPO 2022 was to bring everyone together again. The MOC was a means to do just that, but the timeframe was incredibly short and we didn't see it as a long-term investment at the time. Now, with plenty of time and ample feedback from recent MOC attendees, we're in a position to make some pretty significant improvements in 2023 to an already very successful event. Here's what you can expect:
- An uncompromising commitment to improved communication, with a much earlier schedule and managed calendar. We'll also improve feedback loops and channels for expressing and responding to concerns as they arise.
- Additional space on the grounds and more efficient use of OutDoor space through ISPO 2022.
- More outdoor space on the lawns
- Better use of the atriums on the top floor and the exhibition spaces on the top floor
- Better/clearer sponsorship packages and communication opportunities
1. business ticket retail: This ticket is exclusively for people who work at a retailer from the categories listed below. The following retailers with products from the sports, outdoor or fashion sectors are eligible for this ticket:
- Multi-Brand Retailers / Retail Shops (brick-and-mortar, omni-channel or online).
- Multi-Brand Resort Shops
- Retailers who are members of a purchasing cooperative
- Retail chains and department stores
- Wholesalers & distributors who have multiple brands under contract
- Trade agencies
- Commercial agents
Proof of legitimacy
- Commercial register excerpts or business registration - retail / wholesale / distributor / commercial agent
- Order invoices (at least from 2018 for larger order units/quantities, at least €1,000) - retail / wholesale / distributor / commercial agent
- Delivery certificates (at least from 2018 for larger order units/quantities, min. 1,000 €) - retail / wholesale / distributor / sales representative
2nd Business Permanent Ticket: This ticket is exclusively for Sports Business Professionals from the following categories:
- Sports Clubs & Sports/Fashion/Tourism Associations.
- Sports organizers
- Sports medicine, rehabilitation facilities, physiotherapy
- Sports teachers as well as coaches & fitness trainers
- Digital & technology solution providers
- Agency / Consulting (Event, PR, Marketing, Sustainability, Digital)
- Sports media (online and/or offline) that cannot be accredited as journalists
- Politicians with activities in the field of sports and sustainability
- Investors looking for innovations in sports, outdoor and sustainability
- NGOs (sport, outdoor , sustainability)
Proof of legitimacy
- Commercial register excerpts or business registration - agency, sports/tourism association, sports club, sports organizer, sports media, solution provider (technology & digital), investors, NGOs
- License, certificate or accreditation - athlete, sports instructor, coach, fitness trainer, sports medicine, rehab facility, physiotherapy
3. business permanent ticket brands/manufacturers: this ticket must be purchased by persons working for manufacturers without exhibitor participation at OutDoor by ISPO 2023. These include:
- Brand manufacturers
- Contract manufacturers
- Fabric manufacturers
- Accessories manufacturers

Yes, every trade visitor can order tickets online with his login and password. The prerequisite is that you are registered with us as a trade visitor.

Once your booking and order have been successfully completed, you will receive your ordered ticket by e-mail within 24 hours as a PDF attachment to print out or save on your smartphone or tablet. This ticket is the admission ticket that allows you to pass through the turnstiles to the exhibition halls directly on site and without waiting times.
Yes, you can print out your ordered ticket again at any time. If you would like to print out your ticket again (e.g. in case of loss) - or only shortly before your arrival - you can do this conveniently at any time using your access data to your Messe München customer profile.
Please have either your Mobile Ticket on your smartphone or tablet or a printout of your Print@home ticket ready for on-site access. This can only be used by you personally and will be checked electronically when you enter and leave the trade show.
You can download and save your Print@home ticket as a PDF immediately after completing your online order. In addition, you will receive an e-mail with your Print@home ticket or Mobile Ticket at the e-mail address you specified. The corresponding e-mail sender address is: firstname.lastname@example.org.
You can print out your Print@home ticket in PDF format directly using Adobe Reader or click on the link in the e-mail to print out your ticket. You can also save your ticket as a mobile ticket on your smartphone or tablet.
Yes, on-site purchase is possible. However, we strongly recommend that you buy your ticket online in advance. On the one hand, this is much cheaper and on the other hand, it costs you much less (waiting) time.

OutDoor by ISPO is a trade visitor only exhibition. Therefore, we have to check your trade visitor certificate on site as well. Please remember to bring the required documents for the on-site purchase. An overview of what is accepted as a trade visitor certificate can be found here.
After checking your trade visitor certificate, you can buy your ticket at the cash desk.
There may be some waiting time at both counters!
- Please first fill out the trade visitor form (required information on your company and person). This will be available at the tables in the foyer in front of Hall 2 or 4. Please contact our hostesses and hosts on site if you need help.
- Then come to one of the "Verification of trade visitor proof" counters with the completed form, where we will check your trade visitor proof. Please have your trade visitor proof ready. The counters for the verification of trade visitor proof are also located in front of hall 2 and 4.
Please note: A Business Permanent Ticket Retail can only be purchased by persons who work for retail (retailers, retail chains, department stores, wholesalers, trade agencies and commercial agents).
- After successful verification of your trade visitor certificate, you can buy your ticket at one of the cash desks. The cash desks are located in front of Hall 3.
You are a retailer and entitled to buy the Retail Ticket? Please buy your ticket at the cash desk for retail tickets.
All other visitor tickets can be purchased at the cash desk for "other visitor tickets".
Online vouchers are provided to you by exhibitors. A voucher entitles you to a free admission ticket. Only trade visitors from the approved group of trade visitors are entitled to exchange vouchers for a free admission ticket.
An online voucher is an electronic voucher that you can exchange online for an admission ticket.

Online vouchers can only be redeemed for a Print@home Ticket or Mobile Ticket online by entering the 14-digit, alphanumeric online voucher number. For you as an invited visitor, the Print@home Ticket or Mobile Ticket is free of charge, as the costs for the ticket are borne by the exhibitor from whom you received the invitation.
Since the exhibitor is only charged if you actually visit the trade show and pass through the turnstile, no separate information or cancellation is required from the ticket service in the event of non-use.
All participation opportunities with detailed conditions can be found online and the booths can be booked. The decision to return to the MOC is a response to very clear feedback from the trade, and we have already started to optimize and develop the space to make much more efficient use of it. However, the space is still much smaller than what we are used to in Riem. To avoid disappointment, we strongly recommend that you book early, as we expect the show to sell out quickly.
In 2023, there will once again be a wide range of participation opportunities - from pure stand space to prefabricated brand spaces and communication packages to sponsorship packages.
Those who have attended OutDoor by ISPO 2022 at MOC will be familiar with the different spaces offered. We have spaces in the main halls as you know them from previous events, we also have spaces in the atrium floors where we can have prefabricated or customized booth spaces, and we have outdoor spaces that you can use. We also have the showrooms upstairs where many brands already have permanent showrooms. Of course, it's also possible to take a mix of all these spaces, and ISPO can assist you with how these packages work together.
Not only can you book a space for your organization, but you can also expand your presence at the show by sponsoring a series of events, spaces or presentations.

The application is non-binding. The contract is concluded as soon as the exhibitor accepts the placement proposal. As soon as the contract is binding (with acceptance of the placement proposal), a cancellation fee of 100 % of the participation fee is due. The cancellation fee is reduced to 25% of the participation fee only if the space can be sublet. Please note the Conditions of Participation A.
The admission invoice is usually sent approx. 2 weeks after acceptance of the placement proposal. For OutDoor by ISPO 2023 this means approx. beginning/mid March.
OutDoor by ISPO 2023 is planned as a purely physical event at the MOC. A change to a purely online event is not planned.
The permanent postponement of the deadline is a strategic decision due to the far-reaching market changes of the past years. Industry and trade are facing major upheavals in the global supply chain, which has changed order cycles. An ISPO Munich scheduled in January or February, as was previously the case, is therefore too late for many industry participants. The permanently brought forward date for OutDoor by ISPO also fits much better into the new order cycles. When the industry changes, we also have to find new ways. The new dates are the ideal response to current and future challenges. Above all, they offer completely new opportunities for industry and trade.
ISPO Munich 2022 is the first event after Covid (therefore not comparable to pre-Covid). We have actively reduced the duration from 4 to 3 days to increase cost efficiency for our partner, i.e. generate more contacts in a shorter time, and at the same time reduce personnel and travel costs for exhibitors.
Our approach of limiting the maximum booth size to 200 square meters means that exhibitors focus more on the really important product topics. Many are also grateful that they can now use their budget for content instead of for the biggest booth. In 2022, it is no longer a matter of exhibitors showing the complete collection, but rather of setting accents with new product and material innovations, sustainable solutions and a unique brand story. Retailers and consumers today opt for differentiating products and brands with attitude, role model function and identification potential. To be successful, exhibitors should take this into account when planning their trade show presence.
Unfortunately, only 10 halls are available for ISPO Munich 2022 due to occupancy by another event. Without the restriction to 200 square meters of booth space, we would have had to cancel some exhibitors.
We are aware that delivery problems (ski hardgoods, among others) can lead to companies not having a collection at this early stage. But our new concept is based precisely on the fact that ISPO Munich is used as a communication platform, innovations and novelties at the start of the order season, in order to set impulses at an early stage that lead to new purchase incentives. The focus is on know-how transfer and joint problem solving.
That's why we offer so much more: for example, the involvement of consumer experts at the show. Discussion forums at the conference. Expanded fitness offerings. With the Future Lab, we are also looking beyond the boundaries of our industry in the Retail, Digitize and Sustainability Hub. Four stages and theme hubs offer space for discussions on the most important future topics of the sports industry - sustainability, digitization, staging in retail and much more. And: ISPO Munich is the meeting place for the international sports industry. It's all about personal exchange, identifying new sales potential and making new contacts.
More than two years have passed since the last ISPO Munich. More has happened in this time than in any other ten years. The perspectives of all of us have changed. This is especially true in sports and sports business, where entirely new challenges have emerged, such as disrupted supply chains, changing order cycles, and increased digitization. Sports needs new perspectives. ISPO Munich is the platform for this and it provides the associated approaches to solutions.
We have a central hall at ISPO Munich with the Future Lab as an innovation lab and networking platform, the heart of ISPO Munich. This is where the most important minds in the industry meet, discuss what needs to be done now. We want to be a lobby platform and give sports the important voice that corresponds to its position in society. The Future Lab as a new centerpiece will change the image of ISPO Munich in the long term. With it, we are not only creating an experiential space for innovation and transformation, but also looking beyond the horizon of our industry in the Retail, Digitize and Sustainability Hub. It is also the stage for athletes, the ISPO Award, and of course the ISPO Party - and a meditation and yoga class every morning.
The winter sports industry is facing a very challenging, if not the most challenging season in its history. Among other things, with disrupted supply chains, a decline in margins, climate change and sharply rising energy prices. As of yet, it is not clear how many lift operations will actually be open, which companies will be able to deliver the ordered goods on time, and what the business models of the future will look like along the complete value chain.
In view of these diverse challenges for winter sports, we are very surprised that - with the exception of Scott and some specialized or younger ski manufactures such as PUSU, Early Bird Skis, Doubledeck - quite a few larger ski brands no longer see the need to talk to retailers as part of a trade show appearance. The focus of some brands on "direct to consumer" also carries the risk that retailers will turn away from them and prefer to buy from brands that have a presence.
The need for dialogue has never been as great as it is this season. At ISPO Munich, we offer the international stage for this. And finally, across the entire winter sports value chain: from tourism associations to mountain railroads, training companies, hotels and restaurants, retailers and, of course, sporting goods manufacturers. Together with these partners, we will intensively discuss the topic "Future of Winter Sports". Both for the specialized trade and for ski and snowboard instructors. In addition, there will be a panel with important players from the entire value chain. Personal exchange on a platform like ISPO Munich has never been as important as it is now.
Only stringent Corona travel rules could prevent a large internationality. We don't believe in that. With exhibitors from 49 countries, ISPO Munich 2022 in November is very international. 89 percent of the exhibitors are from abroad. We assume that a great many international trade visitors will also come to ISPO Munich 2022 again. ISPO Munich is and will remain the must-attend event for the industry - today more than ever before.

And the equipment is optimal: with screen, soundbar + camera, 1-3 workstations (+ 3 spare chairs in the box) and air conditioning or heating, nothing stands in the way of your work at the fair.
