The idea is that design and craftsmanship breathe new life into the waste leftover from the climbing-skin manufacturing process. Italian start-up Skinalp produces belts, key rings and bags out of the surplus material from climbing skin specialist Pomoca – unique pieces, secondhand. What makes Skinalp’s products special are the properties of the source material. Climbing skins are robust, water-repellent and have a very special grip. By upcycling them, Skinalp aims to make climbing-skin production more sustainable.
