
The OutDoor trade fair will be held in Munich for the first time in 2019. On 27 June, the new OutDoor by ISPO trade fair concept was presented in a launch conference and broadcast via live stream.

Klaus Dittrich, Chairman of the Board of Management and CEO of Messe München, sees Munich "as an outdoor Mecca and "the perfect incubator for this development".

Tobias Gröber, Head of ISPO Group, explains how Messe München intends to implement these requirements: "We do not see the outdoors as a definition of a sector, but rather as a mindset that we all create together: brands, retailers, consumers and media."

Markus Hefter, Exhibition Group Director OutDoor by ISPO, emphasises that this is not just about a trade fair: "We are highly motivated to develop the new platform with all participants. Brand, trade and consumer. 365 days, online and offline."

Mark Held, Secretary General of the European Outdoor Group, says: "OutDoor by ISPO is the international platform for the outdoor industry, which creates content, promotes relationships, arouses enthusiasm for outdoor topics and creates new opportunities. An inspiring idea that unites the community and opens the industry to new markets, target groups and industries."
