As part of the sustainability program this summer, the EOG would like to put the fibre ‘wool’ centre stage. This natural fibre has much to offer but there are still questions remaining that we wished to address. Queries with regards to the life cycle assessment of wool, the effect of climate change on its availability and of course wool welfare dominate. Thus, we have decided to put together a ‘Day of Wool’ which we hope will act as a starting point to answering some of these questions.

We begin with two talks; one from Hanna Denes from Textile Exchange on LCA of wool, and a second by Delana White from IWTO on climate change and its effect on wool. Finally, we are bringing together leading practitioners in wool welfare from the supply chain for our first ‘Wool Welfare Roundtable’. They will present their experiences around achieving best practice in a sustainable and ethical wool supply chain and answer any questions you have on sourcing ethical wool. They want to show you what is possible and what benefits are available for your business. We really hope you can join us and meet some hugely inspiration people who are at the cutting edge of the next challenge in fibre sustainability.
