This interactive workshop guides participants through a practical exploration of their product’s value chain to assess and improve circularity. The session is divided into two parts. Identifying Hotspots for Improvement: Participants map a segment of the value chain, divided into the supply chain, use chain, and retrieval chain, to pinpoint areas with the highest potential for circular innovation. Followed by Measuring Circularity: Using the Material Circularity Indicator (MCI) and principles from ISO 59020, participants evaluate material inflows and outflows to quantify circular performance. We recommend participants to bring a case or product from their own portfolio. For those without a product, we will provide examples, such as Greenholds - a climbing hold developed using circular principles. This workshop helps organizations to meet the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) standards by aligning with best practices in circularity measurement and reporting.
