One special feature makes the ISPO Award a particularly fine barometer of trends in the sports industry: the jury of experts and consumer experts from the ISPO Collaborators Club meets not just once, but four times a year to select the most innovative products in the sports industry.
At ISPO Munich, numerous award-winning brands were now able to receive their well-deserved reward in person: the ISPO Award trophy. At the three Award Gatherings, Award Angel Nadine Wallner and Christina Rabl from ISPO presented the trophies to the beaming winners.
Numerous spectators applauded the winners, cheered them on and took a personal look at the winning products in the award exhibition in Hall B1.
All good things come in threes - and so it was finally time for the ISPO Award Gathering Vol. 3: The coveted Public Choice Award was presented at the end of the Gathering.
The Public Choice Award is awarded among all 2023 winners by the community members of the ISPO Collaborators Club. The Collaborators Club consists of sports-affine end customers who choose their favorite product among all winners every six months in the run-up to the trade shows ISPO Munich and OutDoor by ISPO.
After the ISPO Award winners had already been determined in advance, winners and spectators alike were eagerly awaiting who would now win the Public Choice Award.
Drum roll ... the envelope opens ... And the winner is: the Pursuit Shock trekking pole from Black Diamond. The hiking poles are characterized by a variety of environmentally friendly materials such as cork and EVA based on algae and, thanks to their design, reduce fatigue and joint pain during prolonged use.
It will be interesting to see what the line-up of winners will look like next year. After all, there are already clear trends towards particularly sophisticated special applications, innovative materials and, above all, sustainability.
The next deadline for submitting products and solutions for the ISPO Award is January 17, 2024, and innovative companies from the sports industry should start preparing now, because as 2023 has shown, the competition is fierce. Who knows, maybe they will be on stage at the next Award Gathering at OutDoor by ISPO in June 2024.
