The mescan from cardioscan provides information on heart rate variability, stress levels, body composition and metabolism. But that's not all. Based on the values, the device directly creates easy-to-understand instructions for training, nutrition and regeneration. "We want training to work," says Dr. Marc Weitl, founder and CEO of cardioscan. "That's why we offer an ecosystem consisting of hardware, software and an app that turns body data into personalized recommendations." Digital Customer Experience from Nordisk

Where was my tent made, what route did it take and how sustainable is it? And: How do I pitch it anyway? The Ydun tent from Nordisk now provides the answers to these questions itself. To be more precise: the NFC chip that is attached to the pack sacks. The Danish outdoor brand uses it as a product passport to track an item from the factory to the consumer. The chip can also be scanned with a smartphone. This takes you to a special website containing an FAQ section, product information, instructions and inspiring images. Customer registration also takes place in this way. It comes with an extended five-year warranty. Unlike QR codes, which quickly become illegible outdoors, the water-, tear- and wind-resistant NFC chips are extremely robust. As a digital solution, they are intended to replace paper manuals and instructions.

Sports sunglasses optray from react

One minute you're in the shade between the trees, the next you're out in the sunshine in an open area: when you're biking or skiing, the light conditions can change abruptly. And so can the usefulness of most sunglasses. The optray from react, which can switch between different tint levels within 0.1 seconds, is a different story. There is only the blink of an eye between a clear lens and a strong darkening. This is made possible by the Swiss company's ShadeTronic technology. This uses a state-of-the-art sensor that converts infrared rays into electrical energy. It enables a quick change between light absorption categories 2 to 4. The handmade optray draws energy from a source that is usually available in abundance in its area of use: the technology of the lightweight and stylish glasses is powered by the sun via integrated solar cells.

InsoleFinder insole tool from CURREX

10,000 feet have carried CURREX to its destination: that's how many the team at the Hamburg-based insole specialist has examined in order to develop unique artificial intelligence. The InsoleFinder simply measures the arch of a foot based on a photo and then determines the perfect shape for an insole. No special app is required to use it - the entire process works via the internet browser. The digital buying guide makes it possible to configure the ideal 3D insole when shopping online. The AI-based tool can be easily integrated into any online store. In addition to an improved shopping experience, InsoleFinder is expected to have a lasting effect. Increased shoe comfort reduces the risk of returns and therefore also the most uncomfortable footprint of all: the CO₂ footprint.

LiTRIC avalanche airbag from Arc'teryx and Ortovox

When freeriding, an avalanche is triggered quickly - fortunately, this also applies to the LiTRIC avalanche airbag technology, which is the result of a collaboration between Arc'teryx and Ortovox. A powerful centrifugal compressor with a high-performance blower fills the airbag with air in just four seconds. The height-adjustable handle can be rotated 180 degrees to prevent false deployment, as does the backpack's innovative closure system. If the airbag, which consists of two separate layers of material, needs to disappear again after inflation, it can be pushed back into the bag without any annoying folding. The electric airbag system uses rechargeable batteries instead of cartridges. The 25 gram lithium-ion battery can be charged within 25 minutes and allows two deployments within 60 hours. An LED light provides information on operational readiness and charge status.

Doubledeck Snowboard

Until now, the term "motherboard" has mainly been used in the IT department, but it could soon become established in winter sports too. This is the name for the lower board of the doubledeck snowboards. It features a bow construction. This convex bridge is attached in the binding area and is not rigidly mounted, but has a certain amount of freedom of movement. This leads to improved power transmission. The same applies to the raised binding position on the bridge. The doubledeck technology also allows easier turn initiation with better edge pressure. Another plus point: the interaction between the motherboard and bow construction creates a spring effect that is designed to prevent catching - good for snowboard beginners. Pros, on the other hand, will be pleased with the pretension in the bridge, which actively supports jumps and thus leads to more air time.

AquaStream rowing machine

Really get into the straps without having to leave the room: Rowing is all the rage in home workouts and gyms. With the AquaStream, the race for the most popular rowing machines now has a new contender. The device scores points with its slim and space-saving design, its low weight and integrated wheels make it easy to transport. The real highlights, however, are the cylindrical water tank and the rowing system. Both elements together enable extremely quiet and natural use. The amount of water resistance can be regulated by adjusting the fill level. The raised position of the seat and rowing system ensure comfort. Together, the rolling feeling of the seat on the rail and the entire structure create an experience that comes extremely close to the real rowing movement on the water. The integration of digital applications via Bluetooth rounds off training with the AquaStream.
