Ispo 2026: Your questions answered

The Future of the world’s leading sports and outdoor trade event

  • What’s happening with ISPO?

ISPO is entering an exciting new era. From 2026, the event will have a new strategy, new leadership, and new location and dateline. Under a joint venture with Messe Munchen and Raccoon Media Group we will combine over 50 years of heritage with a renewed sense of purpose: to unite the global sports, outdoor, and winter industries under one roof for inspiration, innovation and meaningful connections.

  • Why is ISPO changing?

The world of sport is evolving – and ISPO is evolving with it. Feedback from brands, retailers, and associations showed a clear desire for a fresh direction: more global, more accessible, and more relevant to today’s market. The new ISPO will reflect faster innovation cycles and new ways of connecting our community.

  • Why Amsterdam?

When we looked to move the dateline of ISPO to earlier in November we quickly realised that we would need to do this in a new venue due to availability. As we started to research options we began exploratory conversations with Raccoon Media Group and researched several alterative locations that could accommodate the necessary change to the date line. We agreed that Amsterdam offers everything a modern global event needs:

    • A central European hub that’s easy to reach by air, train, and road
    • Home to leading brands and innovators across outdoor and sporting goods
    • A vibrant, international atmosphere that mirrors the spirit of ISPO. The city’s accessibility and energy make it the perfect location for ISPO’s next chapter.

  • When will the next ISPO take place?

ISPO 2026 will take place from 3–5 November 2026 at the RAI Amsterdam. The earlier timing aligns with global buying cycles and avoids key holiday periods, ensuring maximum international participation.

  • What will the new format look like?

The reimagined three-day format brings a new rhythm and focus:

    • Day 1: The ISPO Leaders’ Summit – a C-suite gathering featuring world-class speakers and thought leaders

    • Days 2–3: The ISPO exhibition – where business, innovation, and collaboration take centre stage.

  • Who’s leading the new ISPO?

The event is delivered by a joint venture between Raccoon Media Group and Messe München.

Raccoon brings agility, community focus, and entrepreneurial spirit, while Messe München provides global reach, heritage, and expertise. Together, we are creating a world-class event built on heart, data, and purpose.

  • How will this benefit exhibitors and brands?

    Exhibitors can expect:
    • A €1million investment in a global hosted-buyer programme connecting top international retailers and distributors
    • Reduced cost base and simplified stand options
    • Greater ROI through curated matchmaking and aligned buying cycles
    • A vibrant mix of traditional retailers, digital creators, and new markets – all under one roof

  • What about visitors and buyers?

Visitors can look forward to a more engaging, focused experience — where networking, product discovery, and education are seamlessly connected. The event will also feature content for creators, innovators, and sustainability leaders shaping the future of sport.

  • What’s new about the content programme?

A €1 million investment is being made into world-class content, beginning with the ISPO Leaders’ Summit. Topics will include participation, sustainability, and fair trade, with contributions from inspiring figures like Jimmy Chin, Hap Klopp, Professor Laura McAllister, and Pia Heidenmark Cook already confirmed.

  • How is ISPO supporting the wider sports community?

ISPO will invest €1 million in advocacy, supporting non-profit organisations that protect natural environments, increase participation, and nurture the grassroots of sport. This ensures ISPO remains not just a trade platform - but a force for good.

  • How will German and European retailers be involved?

German retailers and long-term partners remain at the heart of ISPO’s community. The move expands, not replaces, their role - creating a stronger pan-European platform that connects existing networks with new global opportunities.

  • What happens to the ISPO Awards and ISPO Brandnew?

These iconic programs remain central to ISPO’s identity. They will continue to evolve, spotlighting innovation, creativity, and excellence while staying true to the values that made them industry benchmarks.

  • Will prices change for exhibitors or attendees?

ISPO aims to make participation more affordable. Exhibitor packages will be simplified to reduce costs, and special rebooking and early-bird opportunities will be available at the 2025 event – please visit the Rebook lounge at ISPO to meet the team and discuss your involvement. • How easy is it to travel to Amsterdam?

Very easy. Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport is one of Europe’s largest international hubs, and the city offers excellent rail and road links. The RAI Amsterdam venue is minutes from the airport and city centre - ideal for global accessibility.

  • What if I’m travelling farther than before?

While the move means longer journeys for some, it opens new doors for many others. The goal is to make ISPO more inclusive, international, and inspiring - a gathering that welcomes the entire global sports community.

  • How will ISPO keep the community informed?

You’ll find all key information about ISPO 2026 - from exhibitor details to speaker line-ups online and easy to access.

  • What does success look like for ISPO?

Success means a united, inspired community saying: “That worked.”

The goal isn’t overnight change — it’s to rebuild step by step, ensuring ISPO remains the beating heart of the sports and outdoor industry for decades to come.
