This lightweight and highly functional all-weather jacket from Helly Hansen is suitable for many outdoor activities. With a focus on lightness and full weather protection, it has what it takes to become your favorite jacket, no matter where the adventure calls.
When developing the new Odin Rock Insulated Shell Jacket, Helly Hansen gathered feedback and test results from partner search and rescue teams and mountain guides to create the ideal 3-season outer layer. The PFC-free 2-layer insulated shell jacket is equipped with the in-house HELLY TECH® Professional technology, which has been specially developed for the toughest conditions and guarantees complete weather protection.
The new Odin Rock Insulated Shell Jacket is a super-lightweight, durable, warm, waterproof, flexible and harness-compatible jacket that is suitable as an all-rounder for many areas of use. It consists of a hard-wearing outer material made of 100 per cent polyamide with mechanical 2-way stretch and a highly breathable and waterproof membrane. Lined with knitted Octa® Air Mesh insulation with 4-way stretch, it also offers excellent breathability yet lightweight insulation for chilly evenings or early mornings, in rain or sunshine. The quick-drying material composition is also ideal for stop-and-go activities. Equipped in this way, the jacket is a reliable companion from spring to autumn.
The jacket has been equipped with numerous features to increase its versatility. For example, the jacket has a chest pocket, elasticated cuffs and an elasticated hem. It fits perfectly under a climbing harness and the adjustable hood can be worn over a helmet. A two-way front zip provides additional flexibility. Side pockets have been omitted to save weight.
The jacket will be available in two colours, Light Lav for men and Cedarwood for women, from March 2025.
Komperdell has not only used more sustainable materials for its new trekking poles from the Zero Series, but also guarantees a long service life for its products with a comprehensive repair service. This is how responsibility works.
With the development of the new Zero Series, Austrian trekking pole specialist Komperdell is taking the next big step towards greater sustainability and is way ahead of many companies. Instead of just focusing on the most environmentally friendly materials and production methods, the company, which still manufactures entirely at its Austrian headquarters, is also taking responsibility in the after-sales area and has set up a comprehensive repair service.
For Komperdell, sustainability means conserving resources, avoiding waste and reducing emissions. As part of the Zero Waste programme, all components have been optimised in terms of sustainability. Komperdell uses many recycled materials, such as Austrian aluminium, to minimise transport distances. Production waste is fed directly back into the melting process and can be used for new products. Even production dust is recycled, namely in the handles, in which bound production dust and waste are combined. Overall, the Zero Series is made of extremely lightweight yet robust aluminium and has particularly sturdy clamps.
In order to offer a long-lasting product, it is equally important to look after it during the use phase. Komperdell therefore offers a comprehensive repair service and repairs damaged poles “without asking questions", as the company says with a wink. The clear design without superfluous details also speaks in favour of a resource-saving approach, which is continued in the minimal packaging.
All in all, the new Zero Series is a responsible product whose sustainability concept extends from design to end user and beyond. The sturdy poles are continuously adjustable from 105 to 140 cm. There is also a compact model that adjusts from 90 to 120 cm.
In collaboration with professional trail runner Emelie Forsberg, NNormal has developed the Trail Cropped Top, which is a bra, tank top and vest all in one. Perfect for carefree running on hot days and equipped with everything you need.
The train running brand NNormal has created a real all-rounder with the Trail Cropped Top. Designed as a 3-in-1 trail running top, it combines the functions of a bra, tank top and vest in one product. It is designed for short to medium distance runs where you do not want to wear a running vest, especially in warmer climates.
The top has three discreetly placed pockets that offer a surprising amount of space for keys, phone, gels, water bottle and a windbreaker. The integrated cups, which provide moderate support, are removable so that the top can be worn comfortably with a sports bra.
The development process was supported by Swedish NNormal trail runner and multiple world champion in skyrunning, Emelie Forsberg. “I found it difficult to find a super comfortable, well-fitting sports bra with extra pockets that I can use when I want to go for a lighter run. That's why it was so cool that the NNormal team wanted to work on it,” says Forsberg about the collaboration.
With a focus on recycled, lightweight materials, the Trail Cropped Top offers a combination of breathability, compression and greater sustainability. The top is particularly light and comfortable and is made from recycled polyester with up to 15 per cent elastane for maximum freedom of movement during training. The slightly longer fit is comfortable and suits women who don't want to show too much skin. The fashionable look and subtle sporty design make the top particularly versatile: it is perfect for yoga or other sports without looking out of place. As a 3-in-1 solution, the top is therefore suitable for professional runners as well as beginners looking for the most versatile product possible.
The top was produced in Europe, in a production facility in Lithuania that is run by women. Most of the materials used also come from Turkey, Lithuania and Germany, which guarantees the shortest possible delivery routes. NNormal is a certified B Corporation and attaches great importance to sustainability and the preservation of our nature.
The top has been on sale since March 2024 and is available in the colours black / purple.
With the Kboix, trail running brand NNormal has developed a modular shoe that offers a whole host of innovations: By making the midsole interchangeable, it can be adapted to different needs and is also repairable. A digital environment links the shoe, the brand and the consumer with even more practical services.
The Kboix is a modular multisport shoe available with three interchangeable midsoles. Each sole is designed for different terrains, intensities and body types, and can be swapped as required. There is a soft EVA-based sole that is more suitable for light training runs, a slightly harder and more responsive TPU supercritical foam sole, and a more cushioned PEBA-based midsole for long-distance runners.
With the modular design, NNormal not only wants to increase the range of use of the shoe, but also create a way for runners to repair their shoes. The first part of a running shoe to lose its durability and function is always the midsole. It usually loses its responsiveness after 300 to 500 kilometres. Until now, there has been no option other than to buy a completely new shoe, even if the old shoe still has intact components. By replacing the midsole, the life of the shoe can be significantly extended compared to conventionally constructed shoes.
Repairability also has an impact on the other components: NNormal has chosen a particularly robust upper material from French manufacturer Chamatex. The highly breathable and durable Matryx Jacquard upper is woven from individually coated polyamide and Kevlar yarns. The dyeing process uses between 50 and 95 per cent less water than conventional dyeing methods. The concept is complemented by a lightweight and grippy outsole from sole specialist Vibram, which reduces the overall weight of the outsole by up to 30 per cent. The partnership with Vibram also allows the outsoles of NNormal shoes to be resoled and repaired. Selected Vibram shoemakers in France, Italy and Spain have been specially trained to resole NNormal shoes and repair certain shoe components.
With the Kboix, customers can dive even deeper into the 'NNormal World'. This is the digital environment where consumers can access training tips and advice from the brand after they have bought the shoe. They can connect instantly via a personalised QR code in the shoe. It is also possible to link the Strava digital platform to the Kboix, which in turn helps to track all the training sessions completed with the Kboix. All you have to do is enter the ID from the QR code into the app. It also alerts the user when it is time to replace the midsole or have it repaired.
Redefining Athletic Support with Sustainable Innovation. With Blumaka's Konnect Max Cushion, athletes get a sustainably produced insole that impresses with its comfort and performance.
Blumaka's Konnect Max Cushion insoles are more than just a step forward in athletic support; they represent a holistic approach to performance and sustainability. In a market inundated with disposable products, Blumaka stands out by offering a durable, eco-friendly solution that doesn't compromise on quality or performance.
Traditionally, insoles on the market cover a range of sizes, requiring trimming to fit specific shoe sizes. However, Blumaka challenges this norm by offering whole-sized insoles, minimizing waste and simplifying the selection process for customers. This commitment to reducing waste aligns with Blumaka's broader sustainability ethos. Blumaka founder Stuart Jenkins is delighted that the innovative insole has been recognized with an ISPO Award: "It’s an honor because winning an ISPO award means being recognized by an organization that sees the top innovations in sporting goods every year. We are proud they have recognized Blumaka’s Konnect insoles that combine performance with sustainability without compromising either."
At the heart of the Konnect Max Cushion insole is its revolutionary anti-slip surface, engineered to provide unparalleled stability and control. Stuart Jenkins, founder of Blumaka, emphasizes, "Our insoles are proven to give users a competitive advantage in sports. Every athlete who wants to enjoy the benefits of increased ground reaction force, more stability, power, and mobility will find our insoles to be a game-changer." This advantage stems from the increased ground force production facilitated by the anti-slip surface, resulting in faster starts, efficient running, and reduced injury risks. Blumaka has worked closely with professional athletes and trainers across multiple sports to develop its insole designs.
Durability is a hallmark feature of Blumaka's Konnect insoles. With a lifespan of over 1,000 miles, these insoles outlast many OEM alternatives, reducing both waste and costs for consumers. Jenkins highlights, "We make durable insoles that last magnitudes longer than equivalent products. Recreational hikers, runners, and athletes will enjoy the same benefits of extra stability, more foot control, and greater cushioning, just like the pros." This longevity is achieved through the use of 85% recycled foam content, underscoring Blumaka's commitment to sustainability.
Sustainability isn't just a buzzword for Blumaka; it's woven into the fabric of their manufacturing process. By utilizing recycled foam and minimizing water usage, Konnect insoles significantly reduce their environmental footprint. Jenkins elaborates, "We've shown that water usage and carbon emissions can be significantly decreased. Our manufacturing process uses no toxic chemicals, blowing agents, or high-degree heating ovens, which helps reduce our energy consumption."
Even the packaging reflects Blumaka's dedication to sustainability. Simple paper bands and recyclable kraft paper packaging minimize waste, while leveraging existing delivery networks like USPS reduces transportation emissions. "We are thoughtfully unpackaged," Jenkins remarks, highlighting their eco-conscious approach. "We’re continuously exploring new ways to minimize our environmental impact."
For retailers, Konnect insoles offer a unique selling proposition with a compelling environmental narrative. Jenkins explains, "We offer arch support, cushioning, and stability with our Konnect technology, all while using up to 85% recycled foam. Retailers have a differentiated insole product that has a demonstrable performance advantage and an environmental story that is unmatched in the insole world." This combination of performance and sustainability resonates with a growing segment of eco-conscious consumers. Blumaka also offers insole varieties for high-volume feet and consumers needing targeted arch support.
In conclusion, Blumaka's Konnect Max Cushion insoles represent a paradigm shift in athletic support. By seamlessly integrating performance and sustainability, Blumaka sets a new standard for the industry. From enhanced grip to reduced environmental impact, these insoles cater to athletes and eco-conscious consumers alike, demonstrating that innovation and sustainability can go hand in hand.
"Insoles can be a decisive factor in sporting performance. The combination of recycled materials and performance properties convinced us. A good and sensible addition to the crowded market for sports insoles." Jury ISPO Award
