Performance, warmth and oozing with style: Highlights from the Spyder men’s collection

Aptly named, the Pinnacle GTX Jacket is quite literally the height of skiwear design and technology. This premium performance ski jacket with built-in Recco® avalanche rescue system combines Gore-Tex® four-way stretch with PFC-free DWR and 60g PrimaLoft® Gold Eco insulation for comfort and weather protection without compare. Precisely positioned Gore-Tex® TOPO stretch inserts at the shoulders and elbows are an exclusive Spyder feature. The fabric, which is flexible yet resistant to water and wind, generates full freedom of movement through every turn. In combination with the Spyder Gold Chassis, a full stretch engineered lining, the jacket follows the skier’s every move.

Clever features like fully taped seams, watertight zippers and a built-in ventilation system complete the specification of this premium functional jacket.

And for those looking for an extra-warm jacket, the new Spyder collection will not disappoint. The Impulse GTX Infinium Down Jacket from Spyder is the perfect example. This 700-fill down jacket with helmet compatible hood and tons of stow space delivers outstanding insulation from the first lift to the last run of the day. The inner climate of this performance ski jacket is controlled by an underarm ventilation system and a two-layer Gore-Tex® Infinium® laminate.

Style is King, but it mustn’t come at the cost of technical features. Drawing inspiration from the free ski scene, the new Spyder collection has come up with the goods on that front too. For a ‘free ski look’ on the groomers, look no further than the Signal GTX Anorak, Spyder’s super-stylish, technically refined, half-zip anorak with an adjustable hood, underarm ventilation system and large pass through kangaroo pocket. It’s made using two-layer Gore-Tex® with PFC-free DWR and 80 grams of PrimaLoft® Black Eco insulation for first-rate functionality and weather protection.

Refined, functional & fashionable: Highlights from the Spyder women’s collection

For its women’s collection, Spyder has come up with showstopper pieces that combine sporty elegance with refined technical detailing. The centrepiece of these is the Pinnacle GTX Infinium Jacket that sets the bar for premium ski jackets. Working closely with Gore-Tex®, Spyder has developed a luxurious origami-style pattern with four-way stretch Gore-Tex® on the back and hood. 100 grams of PrimaLoft® Gold insulation and Gore-Tex® Infinium® weather protection round off this exceptional jacket. The faux fur trim and/or the entire hood can be removed depending on the weather or your whim.

Similarly, the Brava GTX Jacket is also an elegant yet sporty ski jacket with technical features. Spyder has combined four-way Gore-Tex® stretch fabric with 100 grams of PrimaLoft® Gold insulation, for full freedom of movement and unbeatable weather protection and insulation performance. The Brava also benefits from Spyder’s exclusive Gore-Tex® Topo stretch inserts at the shoulders for enhanced wear comfort. And just like the Pinnacle GTX Infinium Jacket, the Brava GTX Jacket also benefits from Spyder’s Gold Chassis: The lining is fully stretch engineered for enhanced comfort, with a removable powder skirt with snapback feature and spacer mesh padding at the shoulders.

From the piste to the city: New urban outdoor collection

When you’re passionate about skiing, that passion doesn’t just disappear when you head back down from the mountains. Skiing is a way of life, and it can be an expression of your everyday style. “There is a big trend for urban outdoor style at the moment. And it’s not just about highly technical products, but increasingly about the style statement it makes. The sector has grown substantially over the last few years. So that’s why we’ve developed our own Mountain-to-Metro collection that not only marries style with functionality but also transposes the Spyder skiing image into the urban landscape”, says Felix Burmann, Sales Manager Europe at Spyder.

The result is a sophisticated combination of premium materials, functionality and technical know-how with hip urban designs and style by the bucketload. Parkas, hoodies, sweaters, gilets, fleece jackets and pants, all designed for everyday city life during the winter months and refined with Gore-Tex® Infinium® weather protection, and PrimaLoft® or RDS-certified down insulation – all made specifically for the urban dwelling fan of functional yet stylish skiing-inspired fashion.
