Norwegian heritage brand Øyo brings over 140 years of craftsmanship and a thousand-year-old design to ISPO.

For five generations, Øyo has made tools for everyday life and outdoor adventures. Founded as a forge in the mountain town of Geilo in 1882, the family-owned company remains based in the same Norwegian mountain community, in the same factory building.

At ISPO, Øyo presents a range of products for outdoor enthusiasts who prefer tools that are made to last. Steel, wood and leather are our main materials as we combine modern Scandinavian design with knowledge passed down through generations.

Our oldest, and our newest designs.

The Viking axe is a replica of a 1000-year-old axe found in Geilo, bringing a piece of Norwegian history into the present. Its distinctive shape reflects a time when tools were essential to everyday life, and good design was defined by purpose and function. Today, the award-winning axe continues to appeal to outdoor enthusiasts, proving that good craftsmanship can stand the test of time.

At the other end we present our newest addition to the family, the Tyri sister knives. Two knives that combine carefully selected materials, history and modern-day craftsmanship. Featuring 66 layers of copper Damascus steel with a VG10 core and walnut handles, Tyri is not only a valuable tool, but a statement piece that elevates the cooking experience and connects us to the ingredients we use.

A continuing story of family and craftsmanship.

Today, Øyo develops quality tools using natural materials and timeless design for outdoor life and home cooking. We believe that being present, taking care of what we have and staying connected are more important than speed and convenience will ever be. And because our tools are made to last for generations when properly cared for, we believe their design should stand the test of time, too.
