The last ISPO day brought everything together once again: international market trends, in-depth sustainability insights, exciting awards and action on the grounds. The Retail Conference, the Sustainability Conference and Sports Tech Nation, an industry get-together that outlined the future of sports technology - visionary, international, trend-setting - ran in parallel.
These were the highlights of day 3:
The first day 1 kicked off with full force: the Retail Conference, the Sustainability Conference, the Trainers' Summit and the Women Sports Summit provided the framework for orientation, exchange and new impulses.
These were our highlights that made this first ISPO day a real momentum-maker and showed how broadly the industry thinks today and how much future there is in it.
The second day got off to a sporty start, leading right into the heart of the industry's major trend issues and ending with powerful moments that combine community, innovation and visions for the future.
Including: the Retail Conference, the Sustainability Conference, the RUNNER'S WORLD Running Symposium and SPORTPLATZWELT meets ISPO. Here is your recap of day 2:
For Victoria, who is based in Stockholm and represents NORR Agency, ISPO has become an essential meeting place for the outdoor and sustainability community. Returning for her sixth ISPO, she comes to Munich to explore the latest sustainability innovations, discover new materials, and connect with people and companies shaping the future of responsible outdoor culture.
In this ISPO Visitor Spotlight, Victoria shares what inspires her at the trade show, what she’s most excited to discover in 2025, and why ISPO remains such a powerful hub for meaningful connections, Nordic storytelling, and progress in the sustainability-driven outdoor industry.
Victoria Reim: I’m really looking forward to discovering the most exciting sustainability highlights, new materials, and meaningful projects in the outdoor world. ISPO is the perfect place to feel the pulse of what’s happening – from innovations in circularity to nature-inspired design and new business models. For us at NORR and Suston, it’s always about connecting: connecting people, ideas, and companies that want to make outdoor better.
ISPO brings the whole industry together – sustainability leaders, product developers, start-ups, journalists, and long-term partners. For NORR Magazin, it’s an opportunity to discover inspiring Nordic brands and stories with a strong connection to nature. For Suston, it’s about staying up-to-date on sustainability developments, certifications, and pioneering solutions. For NORR Agency, it helps us identify potential partners who share our vision – brands we can collaborate with on communication, sustainability projects, or editorial storytelling.
Our goals:
NORR Agency is a communication and content agency helping outdoor and sustainability-driven brands tell their stories. We work on editorial projects, content creation, sustainability communication, and brand collaborations. Our goal is to connect like-minded partners, support purposeful innovation, and bring Nordic values of simplicity, responsibility, and closeness to nature into every project.
Suston is an international media platform dedicated to sustainability in the outdoor industry. We report on the people, initiatives, and innovations driving real change — from circular material breakthroughs to climate strategies, biodiversity projects, and transparent supply chains. Our focus is on practical solutions and honest storytelling that helps the industry move forward.
NORR is a German outdoor magazine with a deep love for Scandinavia. We focus on sustainable travel, responsible adventures, and Nordic gear innovation. Our audience is passionate about nature, slow experiences, and high-quality outdoor equipment. We share stories that inspire people to explore the North – in a way that respects the environment and the communities who live there.
I’m very excited about anything connected to circularity, regenerative materials, traceability, and new business collaborations that challenge the status quo. Workshops on climate-positive product strategies, sustainable sourcing, and innovation in functional fabrics are always high on my list.
Workshops I’m eyeing include:
People who care about the future of the outdoor industry – sustainability managers, Scandinavian brands, innovators, product developers, and all partners who want to move things forward. We’re always looking to connect with companies that want to collaborate on meaningful editorial projects or sustainability communication.
Schedule meetings with the ISPO App
With curiosity and openness. ISPO can be intense, so I try to stay flexible, leave room for spontaneous meetings, and follow the conversations that feel most meaningful. It’s all about listening, learning, and connecting people who should know each other.
Definitely the moments when new partnerships start over a simple conversation – or when you discover a project you didn’t expect. ISPO has a special energy when it comes to sustainability and innovation, and every year there’s at least one idea or meeting that stays with me.
Of course, I do. Here are my recommendations:
For Julien Gauthier from France, ISPO is anything but new territory. With 25 years of ISPO experience, the CLS – Ski Company representative returns once again to Munich to reconnect with the European market, spot emerging trends, and meet industry peers from across the continent.
In this ISPO Visitor Spotlight, Julien shares what keeps him coming back, what he’s most excited about, and why ISPO remains such a valuable touchpoint for the ski and rental ecosystem.
Julien Gauthier: Trends and networking. I’m particularly interested in observing how different markets are evolving and seeing which innovations are gaining traction this year.
Julien: I’ll participate in some dinners and parties. It’s always a good mix of business and fun, and it’s a great way to connect with people in a more informal setting.
Julien: It’s an opportunity to meet people from different countries with whom I usually have fewer chances to talk. I want to observe trends, take the pulse of the market, and get insights that help me stay updated across the European landscape.
Julien: No, I’ve been traveling to ISPO for about 25 years. Each year is slightly different, and it’s fascinating to see how the event and the industry evolve over time.
Julien: There aren’t many opportunities to stay connected to the European market. It’s always interesting to hear what’s happening in different countries and to compare strategies and trends across regions.
Julien: CLS – Ski Company, including the SKISET, SKIMIUM, and NETSKI rental networks. I focus on maintaining strong relationships with partners and exploring potential collaborations within the European ski industry.
Julien: Trends are the main reason to come. I also hope to gather information that helps my company anticipate changes in consumer behavior and market developments.
Julien: Business and networking. I’m looking to learn from other entrepreneurs and companies about their approaches to challenges, as well as to discover potential new collaborations.
Julien: People from different countries. I’ve already scheduled some meetings, but I also leave time open to engage in spontaneous encounters that often turn out to be very valuable.
Julien: By attending meetings, conferences, and events such as dinners and parties. These moments provide excellent opportunities to discuss ideas in depth and strengthen professional relationships.
Julien: As mentioned above. I focus on sessions and networking opportunities that give me insights into trends and allow for meaningful interactions with industry colleagues.
Julien: The chance to connect with people from across different markets. It’s always exciting to exchange ideas and experiences, and these interactions often inspire new initiatives and collaborations.
Julien: Coming to ISPO is an incomparable opportunity to see what’s happening outside your own territory and to exchange ideas with other entrepreneurs. Take the time to speak to as many people as possible and stay open to unexpected conversations – you never know where inspiration will come from.
