Wolfgang Mayrhofer new spokesman for the Austrian ski industry

Wolfgang Mayrhofer gets a new position: The managing director of Atomic is again spokesman of the Austrian ski industry - as successor of Fischer CEO Franz Föttinger.

Wolfgang Mayrhofer has been spokesman for the Austrian ski industry since April 1. The Managing Director of Atomic Austria took over from Franz Föttinger, CEO of Fischer Sports. Föttinger has been spokesman for the Austrian ski industry since 2012; Mayrhofer spoke from 2008 to 2012.

The two take turns as speakers for Austria's ski manufacturer. Mayrhofer will hold this position until 2020. Together with Dr. Michael Schineis and Wilhelm Kerl and since 2011, the 57-year-old has been managing director of the ski, binding, accessories and skiwear manufacturer which belongs to the Finnish Amer Sports Group.

Atomic cooperates with ISPO

From 1994 to 2010, Mayrhofer was General Manager for Austria at Amer Sports, responsible for the brands Atomic, Wilson, Suunto and Precor, among others. The world market for alpine skiing is more than three million pairs, half of them are from Austria.

Atomic has been a partner of the ISPO Sports Business Network since summer 2017 and uses the digital products and services of ISPO throughout the year. "We will cooperate very intensively", Schineis, the President of Winter Sports Equipment Amer Sports, said at the beginning of the partnership.
