Prakriti Varshney is an Indian adventure athlete and one of the country’s most accomplished female mountaineers. She is the first vegan woman to summit three 8,000m peaks: Mount Everest, Mount Makalu and Mount Lhotse.
Her journey extends far beyond mountaineering. Prakriti is a certified paraglider, snowboarder and scuba diver, and an endurance athlete who has completed ultra marathons across India and Thailand. She is currently training for her next international 85 km ultra marathon in Europe.
What sets Prakriti apart is her approach to adventure as a multi-disciplinary pursuit. From climbing some of the world's highest mountains to running long-distance trails and taking to the skies through paragliding, she continually explores the intersection of human endurance, outdoor sport and freedom.
Based in the Indian Himalayas, Prakriti represents a new generation of adventure athletes from India, combining high-altitude mountaineering with endurance sports, aviation and an active outdoor lifestyle.
