The technical pants are made of 4-way stretch Stormfleece pro material. This in turn is made from recycled, post-industrial polyamide. It is breathable, windproof and highly water repellent thanks to a PFC-free DWR, without using membrane materials.
Stormfleece pro is a patented technology of our technological partner Singtex Taiwan, that combines woven fabric and fleece technology into one fabric. This creates a particularly wind- and rain-repellent outer layer and a soft and warming inner layer. The material, which is as robust as it is cuddly, thus consists of just one layer, unlike conventional, two-layer soft shells made of knitted fabric.
This allows Ternua to minimize material consumption while maintaining the same function. At the same time, the tightly woven structure is durable and less prone to fiber loss and microfiber emission. All fabrics used are bluesign certified and PFC free.
The stretchy pants are versatile. Built-in knee panels provide more freedom of movement, and the waistband is adjustable with an elastic drawstring. Other details include two zippered front pockets and zippers at the hem of the pants to accommodate wider boots.
The pants are available for men and women in a variety of colors starting Fall 2023.

"We all appreciate the comfort of softshell pants. Ternua presents a new, more resource-efficient material construction that is robust on the outside and just as soft and comfortable on the inside as a softshell, but reduces the risk of microplastics and thus lasts longer."
