The S-Bahn takes you comfortably and quickly to your destination. You will find the S-Bahn station directly under the central area of Munich Airport. After arriving at the terminal, follow the signs with the green circle and the white S. The S-Bahn lines S1 and S8 run every 10 minutes in the direction of the city center. This is how you can reach the exhibition grounds directly from Munich Airport:
Route 1 with the S8
- Take the S8 from the airport towards Ostbahnhof.
- Change at Ostbahnhof to the U5 in the direction of Neuperlach Süd.
- At the Innsbrucker Ring stop, change to the U2 in the direction of Messestadt Ost.
- Get off at the stops Messestadt West or Ost. The journey takes about 46 minutes.
Route 2 with the S8
- Take the S8 from the airport towards Herrsching.
- Change at the main station to the U2 in the direction of Messestadt Ost.
- Get off at the stops Messestadt Ost or Messestadt West. The journey takes about 60 minutes.
Route 3 with the S1
- Take the S1 from the airport towards Ostbahnhof.
- Change at the main station to the U2 in the direction of Messestadt Ost.
- Drive to Messestadt West or Ost. The journey takes about 60 minutes.
You can buy Munich public transport tickets at the airport and pay by cash, EC or credit card. Either at the ticket counter in the "München Airport Center", Level 03, from 07:30 to 22:00. Or round the clock at the ticket machines in the Munich Airport Center.
The "Airport-Tradefair-Express" will take you directly from Munich Airport to the exhibition grounds and back to OutDoor by ISPO every 20 minutes. The one-way journey takes approx. 45 minutes and costs 9 euros. The price for the round trip ticket is 15 euros. During OutDoor by ISPO, buses from the airport arrive at the North Entrance. The buses to the airport depart from the West and North entrances. There is an all-round shuttle service around the exhibition grounds so that you can quickly get from one entrance to the other.
The shuttle bus ticket can be purchased online during the fair.
The car sharing service SHARE NOW, resulting from the fusion of car2go and DriveNow, provides BMW, Mercedes-Benz, MINI and smart vehicles for rent throughout Munich. The cars can be rented spontaneously and flexibly at any time. Registration and the entire rental process is managed via a smartphone app.
Depending on the volume of traffic, it takes about 35 minutes from the airport to Messe München. Numerous taxis are available directly in front of the terminals. The fixed price for a one-way trip is 63 euros. This offer only applies to the shortest distance between the airport and the exhibition grounds.
