Online Fabric Sampling Tool

HeiQ to launch online platform

You trawl the textile exhibitors at trade shows, find just what you are looking for and order that initial sample. Then, sometimes up to two or even three months later it finally arrives. Digitization, a core theme at the recent ISPO Munich, has hit the textile sector, responding to an increasing demand for shorter timelines, which is crucial to get new products out into the market.

Textile sampling just speeded up

Speeding up the sampling process just got easier with HeiQ, the Swiss chemical company that produces a wide range of functional finishes that can be applied at the end of the textile process, developing a faster system in the form of “heiq it!’

Showcasing the new Swiss Fast Fabric Sampling tool at ISPO Munich, it is incredibly easy to use, once registered, the software allows you to select the type of fabric you are looking for, activity, composition and the performance finish that you require, from anti-odor through to temperature regulating and UV protection.

Following selecting the fabric and the desired performance, there are nine available, you can then select whether you want to receive a full sample garment for wear trials, half a treated garment, so that you can conduct a comparison test, through to traditional sample meterage and hey presto, your sample is sent.

HeiQ has partnered with a wide range of mills including Sitip and Pontetorto with all the fabrics featured for selection stocked, a lab machine at HeiQ headquarters applies the specified technologies, resulting in a much faster service. The option of shortened timelines and getting a product to market is appealing, in speeding up the launch of new products.

The “heiq it!’ online sampling platform will be live at the end of March.
