New Formula 1 eSports Series
Formula 1 with new eSports season and a total of $500,000 in prize money
After the announcement of the new official Formula 1 game F1 2019, the Formula 1 now also published information about the new season of its in-house eSports series. On Playstation 4, Xbox One X and PC, drivers compete for $500,000 in prize money.
As in the previous season, the series will consist of a qualifying session, a selection phase and the final ProSeries, in which the drivers will compete for the prize money for official F1 teams. The Pro Series will take place in 2019 on 4 dates and will be held between September and December.
Last season more than 5.5 million spectators watched the event, and this year Formula 1 again announced TV broadcasts and an official live stream. As title partner the US-American sporting goods manufacturer New Balance will again be on board, the main sponsors Fanatec and DHL will also be on board again.
