Carsten Unbehaun Will Be Haglöfs’ New CEO

The current CEO of outdoor outfitter Haglöfs, Peter Fabrin, is stepping down, and after him comes Carsten Unbehaun. Unbehaun has hitherto been Regional Director Central Europe at the parent company Asics.

Carsten Unbehaun has worked for Asics since 2002 – now he’s going to be CEO of its subsidiary, Haglöfs. The former CEO, Peter Fabrin, aims to dedicate himself to new, future challenges and more time with his family, and will remain a member of the executive board at Haglöfs until January 2018.

Unbehaun has been part of the Haglöfs executive board since 2015. In his former work for Asics he was, among other things, Marketing Manager, Managing Director Germany, and Managing Director Europe. “I’m excited and honored to be able to slip into this new role. I look forward to contributing to the growth plans of a very strong outdoor brand that also shares Asics’ mission of making an active lifestyle possible for consumers with the highest quality clothing,” Unbehaun says.
