On the verge of bankruptcy, his employees helped him make a decision that changed everything Mariano Severini was going through a crisis in his cell phone protector factory: the flow of work had dropped, the payment of salaries was in arrears, the landline was once again cut due to lack of payment and the rent of the warehouse was about to be terminated.\n \n "We were 26 families who depended on a workshop that was practically at a standstill. We had to choose between paying the employees' paychecks or buying two rolls of fabric. And the employees told us to buy the fabric," he says.\n \n Mariano had several businesses and was involved in sports from an early age: he enjoyed trekking and mountain running. While training, he noticed that mountain runners used hydration vests that they brought from other countries.\n \n So he imagined a new project, did some market research, and made a first prototype with a partner, which they tested on an athlete friend. Already decided to produce, they had to import fabric to be able to give the vest the quality they were looking for and put together an ambitious marketing plan that allowed them to become known.\n \n Thus, Weis, the sportswear brand that was born in the midst of a crisis, was chosen at an international exhibition as one of the ten best-running ultramarathons. Today it is already sold in the United States and will soon take its first steps in Europe.\n \n "Hitting rock bottom was a special rebirth".
