Lightweight, warm, lofty. Looks like down, but isn't!  It's HeatSphere Eco. That's the pioneering insulation that VAUDE is using in a range of new insulation jackets for winter 2021-22.

Batura Hooded Insulation Jacket

Whether it's a windy peak, a shady spot or base camp – this exceptionally lightweight insulated jacket packs down small and is indispensable for mountain sports. Don't be surprised if it becomes your favorite jacket! The Battura Hooded Insulation Jacket can be packed into the stretchy mesh inner pocket to take up even less room in your pack on the way up the mountain. The form-fitting style fits perfectly under a hardshell and the adjustable waistband will help make sure you don't become chilled when you stop for a break.

The highly functional, lightweight insulation is called HeatSphere Eco, a "vegan down" – high-loft, lightweight, elastic spheres of fiber made from 100 % recycled PET bottles that entrap warm air just like conventional down. Lighter and warmer than any other insulation.

This water repellent winter jacket with a high-set hood is made of a completely recycled material, is bluesign®-certified to the highest environmental standard and is versatile throughout the winter. The VAUDE Green Shape label stands for environmentally-friendly, functional products made from sustainable materials.

The innovative fill of VAUDE's new warm winter jackets makes a quantum leap in insulation technology. The puffy fill has the same properties as down but is made entirely from recycled polyester materials. This synthetic down has the advantage of keeping you warm even when wet and is relatively easy-care. Insulating spheres of polyester fiber(heat balls) were sewn into chambers, as is customary with down, in order to achieve a high loft and the best warmth results.
