We think: Every now and then you need good news. Especially from the world of sports. In our Good News we serve you seven news every week that make our - and hopefully your - sports heart beat faster. Because the news is fun. Because they are trend-setting. Because they show new trends. Because they sprinkle a pinch of absurdity in a much too serious world. Or because they simply bring joy. The main thing is to be in a good mood, that's our motto in this news format. And we'll get right to it. With an award for true heroes, a yoga fan from Hollywood and the bravest comeback of the week!

01

Well-deserved Award!

For a few minutes the football world stood still when footballer Christian Eriksen collapsed on the pitch during the European Championship group match against Finland in Copenhagen on 12 June and had to be resuscitated. Eriksen owes his life today only to the quick action of team captain Simon Kjaer and the doctors. It was more than a close call - and UEFA recognised that. The medical staff and Simon Kjaer have now been presented with the UEFA President's Award for their courageous and swift action.t. According to UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin, all those involved were "true heroes of the European Championship". And Eriksen himself? He's as fit as a fiddle again. A defibrillator should now protect him from further heart problems. He will just have to take a break from playing football for a while.

Strong Sign for Afghan Parathletes!

Actually, Zakia Khudadad and Hossain Rasouli from Afghanistan should have competed at the Paralympics in Tokyo. But the rapid reconquest of Afghanistan by the Taliban prevented the parathletes from starting in Japan. As a sign from afar, the Afghan flag was carried into the Olympic Stadium on Tuesday night at the Games' opening ceremony. Full solidarity for the Afghans living in fear and war! In addition, the first to be allowed into the stadium was the refugee team. We think: A true sign for peace!

A Story Worthy of a Movie!

David Brown is the best proof that nothing can stop you. For although he was diagnosed with Kawasaki syndrome as a toddler and lost all his sight at the age of 13, he is now one of the fastest runners in the world.

Now the life of this extraordinary athlete has been made into a film: In Untethered, viewers learn how David Brown became a champion with his running partner Jerome Avery. How he even set the world record in 2014. He became the first blind person to run 100 meters in under 11 seconds. An inspiring story of two people pushing each other to peak performance - and a story that shows: Nothing is impossible!

Hollywood star Diane Keaton loves dogs and yoga! So it's no surprise that she practiced her favorite yoga pose with her golden retriever this week: the Child Pose. It's a relaxing exercise that involves bending your legs and then resting your upper body on the floor. Dog Reggie joins in enthusiastically. We laugh heartily with the 75-year-old Hollywood great and try out the yoga pose ourselves right away! Ommm!

A Courageous Comeback

Just under five months after his horrific fall at the Ski Flying World Cup in Planica, Daniel André Tande has jumped off a ski jump for the first time again. What a courageous comeback! Because in his horror fall in March, the ski jumper suffered severe head injuries, had to be ventilated at times and put into an artificial coma. He did not suffer any permanent damage, but the respect for the hill, the height, that carried Tande. For five months he watched his Norwegian colleagues jumping, now he dared - under exclusion of the public - his first jump. Conclusion afterwards: Tande is back! Congratulations for so much courage and stamina!
