
The new deal between Nike and Tottenham Hotspur amounts to a total of 150 million British pounds (173 million Euros) and will last for an undetermined period. Tottenham had previously been sponsored for five years by Nike rival Under Armour. Under Armour's deal with Tottenham brought in 50 million British pounds (57.7 million Euros) for the soccer club.
Chelsea soccer club will also be partnering up with Nike starting in the 2017/18 season. A contract period of 15 years with Nike is to give Chelsea just under one billion Euros. In summer 2016, Chelsea put a surprise end to its contract with Adidas following the 2016/17 season.
