
Around the world, more than 586,000 participants joined in at the 625 events in a total of 42 countries for World Snow Day. Under the slogan “Explore – Enjoy – Experience,” children from all over the world are meant to get to know the magic of snow.
With the early onset of winter in November, there’s also the hope for a lot of snow. There’s no lack of excitement for sports, as shown by the success of the World Snow Day in January 2016. The final report from 2016 predicts that 93% of participants will also want to be there in 2017.
World Snow Day cooperating with the skiing association FIS
Among the sponsors for World Snow Day are the International Ski Association (FIS), the World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry (WFSGI), the Federation of the European Sporting Goods Industry (FESI), as well as the winter sports companies Atomic, Elan, Nordica, and even Salomon.
