The personnel upheaval at Oberalp Group continues: After eight years, General Manager Central Europe Christoph Mannel has left the outdoor company, which includes the brands Salewa, Dynafit, Pomoca and Wild Country. His duties will be taken over for the time being by Benedikt Böhm, who is responsible for Dynafit as General Brand Manager.

"The Oberalp Group parted ways with Christoph Mannel, General Manager Central Europe, in April 2017," the company announced. "Ad interim, Benedikt Böhm, who has already been General Manager of Oberalp Deutschland GmbH since 2012, will take over Christoph Mannel's duties."

Oberalp Group in upheaval

The 39-year-old Böhm, who has prominently placed the slogan "Less babble, do!" on his homepage, enjoys a good reputation in the scene as a former extreme mountaineer.

The Oberalp Group is currently undergoing a phase of restructuring. In the summer of 2016, Managing Director Stefan Rosenkranz had left the outdoor company, and Marketing Manager Reiner Gerstner left in the fall.

Note: A previous version of this article stated that Benedikt Böhm was moving up. The Oberalp Group asked for a correction: Böhm is only temporarily taking over Mannel's duties.
