Odlo should become more international. According to a report on “sazsport.de”, the functional wear manufacturer from Hüneberg plans to expand globally. The focus will be on Russia, China, Japan, South East Asia, the USA and Canada, the CEO Christophe Bézu reveals. To date, Odlo generates 45 percent of its revenue in Germany alone.
Moreover, Odlo wants to strengthen its spring and summer collections in the running, bike and training categories.
Odlo CEO Bézu: “Trapped in a downward spiral”
Bézu looked critically into the past. “After our high performance in 2010 we have recently gone through difficult times. We made mistakes in the collection regarding our focus and were then trapped in a downward spiral which wasn’t easy to stop”, says Bézu, who has headed Odlo since August 2015.
Ceramicool as Innovation
In Munich Bézu also introduced a new innovation: The technology “Ceramicool” is a base layer that cools the skin by up to 1 degree. Ceramic particles wrapped around the yarn are supposed to abduct the heat better.
