The brand has already moved to make it into local shoe retail. This time, they want to penetrate the sports and outdoor channels. Besides Treksta and its own offer of outdoor products, Tatonka represents U.S. footwear marketer Teva in Germany.
Andreas Schechinger, Tatonka’s managing director, pointed out that there was no overlap between the two shoe brands. In Munich at the show, he told ISPO.com that Tatonka’s main focus is on highly functional footwear, while Teva covers the sandals and lifestyle-oriented shoes categories.
