Foot Locker posts positive figures

Shoe retailer Foot Locker recorded a profit increase of 8.2% in the fourth quarter. The New-York-based company’s operating profit grew to 158 million dollars (approx. €145 million).

Foot Locker has stores in North America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, the Middle East and South Korea.

For the entire 2015 financial year, the company generated a profit of 541 million dollars (approx. €497 million). This represents an increase of 41 million dollars compared with 2014. As a result, Foot Locker has set a profit record for the fifth time in a row. Sales in 2015 stood at 7.4 billion dollars (approx. €6.8 billion).

Foot Locker is one of the largest retail companies in North America. The chain currently has 3383 stores across 23 countries.

Together with Nike and Michael Jordan, Foot Locker will reopen the “306 Yonge” shop in Toronto in summer 2016.
