ZEG, Germany’s leading buying group for bicycle retailers, has reached an all-time high in terms of sales. The centralized invoicing reached a volume of €455.5 million in 2011. Compared with the previous year, this figure was up by 14.9 percent. The turnover was not collected in Germany alone, but also in the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, Poland and the Baltic countries. The strong increase came partly from the successful sale of electric bicycles through affiliated retailers.
