Sram, a technology leader in bicycle components, is introducing its own drive system for e-bikes. The rather innovative Sram E2 Electric-Assist System is being presented at the current Taichung Bike Week in Taiwan. Simplicity is the main concept behind the company’s automatic 2-speed system. It’s an integrated solution with a limited number of parts that includes a rear-wheel hub motor with a patented torque sensor. It is meant to facilitate its installation by bike manufacturers and its driveability.
