With performance denim becoming a growth sector, one key factor that is crucial to its success is the authentic-look of denim these new innovative technical constructions must have. When it comes to authenticity, denim is renowned for its finishes. Jeanologia, a pioneer in responsible finishing through laser technology, is able to create the desired look without damage to the environment or workforce.
With the process “one glass, one garment," only one glass of water is required to complete the finishing of a denim garment with laser. A radical reduction in water consumption when you take into account that currently about 70 liters are needed.
One category at ISPO TEXTRENDS that has seen an incredible growth in the amount of applications from the textile performance sector is for Street Sports. This growth is directly linked to the consumers interest in transcending functional factors from their outdoor and sports activities to their daily lives, as ‘living wear’ attributes to active lifestyles.
One fabric in particular that is pushing for recognition in this sector is denim. We all love it, most consumers own on average seven pairs of jeans, and denim has come a long way from its traditional utility heritage to being a staple in the wardrobe for all occasions.
In the run-up to the European Week of Sport (23rd to 30th September), the European Outdoor Group (EOG) is organising a photo competition: 18 equipment kits are available for the best outdoor pictures. This is how participation works.

Under the motto "It's great out there", EOG is now looking for the best outdoor pictures and raffles prizes worth 7000 euros.
The water sports sector is on the increase, whether it be from long distance supping to kite surfing or the more leisurely boogie board, the fact is that consumers, at novice through to experienced levels, are turning to the water in contrast to the terrain.
The market potential of water sports actives has been highlighted at both the recent ISPO MUNICH and ISPO SHANGHAI through the Water Sports Villages, with water sports defined as one of the hottest sports trends for Summer 2018.
Experiencing the Moment
