The fitness equipment manufacturer Life Fitness has agreed with the Nuremberg-based Indoor Cycling Group (ICG) on a takeover. Life Fitness announced this news in a press release.
With this measure, which must still be approved by the German Federal Cartel Office, the subsidiary of Brunswick Corporation expands its product range and hopes to position itself in the growing markets of indoor cycling and group training.
The two companies have been working in close collaboration on the preparation of the Group Cycling Bikes since 2011. “This means that there is already a strong link between our companies,” explained Life Fitness President Chris Clawson in a statement.
“We know that the culture of innovation and customer-oriented approach of ICG will complement our existing team perfectly. We are looking forward to further collaboration, this time under the same roof.”
In the future, the operational business at ICG will also managed by company founder Bernd Pürschel, who was pleased with the take over: “We are looking forward to becoming a part of the Life Fitness family and to being jointly responsible for the expansion of the product range in the field ofthree million cycling and group training.”
