European Park Conference
Freeskiers and snowboarders would not be happy without alpine snow parks. Due to the increasing popularity of the parks, as well as important aspects regarding sustainability and climate change, ispo has created the first “European Snowpark Conference” for snowboarders, Freeskiers, and park shapers. This conference will be held on the two first ispo days. The topics of discussion include technology, safety, business organization, and events.
In addition, ten European snow parks present their
activities and concepts on a special platform in hall A1:
In February 2010 Volcom’s annual miniramp contest under the motto “Volcom to Paradise” will once again bring fun and action to ispo 10. This invitational contest (max. 50 riders) carries a prize purse of no less than 7,000 Euro. In addition to the main event on February 8th there will also be two Best Trick contests during the exposition. And if you have ever experienced a Volcom miniramp event you know that it will be wild!
Come to the booth in hall
A2 to relax in a casual atmosphere with snacks and drinks; in the evening
visitors can call it a day with beer, cocktails and great DJ music. To

Retail Station presented by Freeride World Tour
2010 is the year of ispo anniversaries. The world’s largest sporting goods trade show not only opens its doors for the 70th time from February 7th to the 10th, 2010, it also celebrates its 40-year anniversary. In order to take account of the continuously growing Freeski/Freeride market ispo has designated a special exhibition hall for this sport in this year of anniversaries. The new Retail Station is a new platform for retailers and all important elements from this scene.
This platform will show how retailers can successfully promote Freeski/Freeride
on their sales floor and online with the help of already existing concepts.
Interested retailers are invited to visit the Retail Station in hall A3 to get
inspiration for their own stores.
Yet the Retail Station not only puts
a spotlight on retail, but also on important tools such as events, community,
media, and riders. The Freeski/Freeride scene boasts an increasing number of
professionally organized and marketed events, benefiting the active
participants. The Freeride World Tour is the perfect partner for the Retail
Station as Presenting Sponsor. The Freeride World Tour will not only introduce
its own series of events, but also offer a number of exciting activities, and
present top riders for autograph sessions on site.
Yet what is an event
without the media and community platforms? Therefore successful media
representatives such as 7Sky and downdays.eu will be at the Retail Station to
show what is happening in the scene, and how fast this community has grown
within the last few years.
In addition to the presented concepts and
autograph sessions with scene favorites, visitors can also look forward to
interviews, a press conference on Monday, February 8th at 9.30 am held by the
Freeride World Tour, daily raffles, and a party at the exhibit booth.
The Retail Station presented by Freeride World Tour will be open from
February 7th to 10th, 2010 in hall A3, booth 318.

reality of a trade show day for most visitors. Though happiness is
close by – at the SL Surfbar in the board sports exhibition hall
A2. A place to take a deep breath and recharge. In addition to plenty
of cocktails, food, and party every day, the SL Surfbar has a special
offer: “Create Your Own Burger”. And while enjoying good
food and drinks there is space and time to relax and enjoy, while a

board_ispo shop summit: modern business strategies for snowboard retailers
Within the last years the board_ispo shop summit has become an established component of ispo. This platform offers snowboard retailers an opportunity to father useful information and tips, network, communicate, and update contacts. As in the year before the board_ispo shop summit coves the topic of “Modern Shop Strategies”. Retailers can become inspired and gather information for new business strategies or improvement of their own shop presentation. Every day, experts will be available at the booth to provide answers to questions. A new feature this year is an additional “Extension Pack”. It consists of information on current issues – such as Social Network Marketing (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, etc.) – which were researched in particular for the benefit of retailers.
And finally,
the winners of the ispo Board Sports Awards will be presented at the board_ispo
shop summit. Furthermore, there will be complimentary services, such as the
Boardsport SOURCE Job Agency and a generously sized meet & greet area with
bar and sofas. A new element are the so-called "New Blood Activists”:
individuals, companies, or organizations who motivate and attract new
snowboarders with their projects.
