From an early stage, ispo has taken great pride in supporting newcomers
and visions. To reduce a tradeshow to its essence, it is all about
innovation. Consumer behavior encourages this focus and demands for a
never-ending supply of new products, brands and ideas. To reduce the
gap between less-known brands and retailers, ispo established several
newcomer platforms integrated in the individual tradeshow segments.
- BrandNew: World’s largest start-up competition for the sporting goods industry - ispo Newcomers: innovative, young or little-known unknown brands with fresh ideas and products - Wearable Technologies: Sport meets new technology - ispo Best Ager Gallery: Megatrend demographic change – chances and opportunities for retail and industry

WT Conference 2010 – Where fashion meets technology
The Wearable Technologies Conference will be held at Novotel München Messe on February 8, 2010. This pioneering conference builds a bridge between the fashion and high-tech industry and focuses on decision makers and experts from commerce, production and science, in particular from the fields of sports, fashion, electronics and consumer electronics.
This
unique event is aimed at encouraging a dialogue between the respective industries
and at uniting new user groups, such as the electronics and communications
industry with the textile industry. It also shows how a combination of sports,
fashion and lifestyle with the latest trends from the electronics industry can
add value for clients and increase the turnover potential on both sides.
By offering a number of newcomer platforms ispo 10 is lending young brands a hand to find their way into the industry. Here is an overview of the various projects:
Skilift: Young,
dynamic, innovative – SkiLift, part of the ispo newcomer project, has two new

their home markets. They provide a glimpse into trends and technologies with
potential for the future. Ispo trade show visitors have an opportunity to
remain a step ahead of the competition by discovering innovative products in

Wearable Technologies: where fashion meets technology
The focus of the Wearable Technologies platform at ispo 10 is once again on new technologies in the sports and lifestyle sector. The spectrum of Wearable Technologies includes textiles with integrated electronics or electronic tools, allowing functions that far exceed conventional applications.
Among the
international exhibitors are companies such as TEXSYS GmbH, introducing a video jacket able to transmit live streams
directly to a 3G cell phone thanks to a portable 3G radio; O-Synce, presenting intelligent
navigation products; and Tex-ray, featuring textiles with
integrated illumination and audio technology. At ispo 10 the Wearable
Technologies Show will be found for the first time as part of ispovision in
hall B1.
