International experts for the Eco Responsibility division in 2012
Different criteria require a different jury. The jury members for the Eco Responsibility division are independent representatives of environmental organizations and experts in sustainable production. They will assess the submissions together with sport, fashion and industry designers.

Career
Mark Held is the General Secretary of the European Outdoor Group (EOG) and as a result has a unique overview of what's happening in the outdoor market. Prior to joining the EOG he was a group director of several major outdoor brands and in all has some 28 years of experience in the industry.
Ludwig Karg

Career
Ludwig Karg graduated with a master (Dipl. Inf. univ.) in Computer Sciences at the Technical University of Munich (1981). He gained practical experience in software engineering and held German and international positions in Intel Corp. for multimedia and network products. He is Managing Director of B.A.U.M. Consult GmbH (since 1993) and Chairman of INEM (International Network of Environmental Management). Mr. Karg led various national and international research, development and deployment projects on sustainability in enterprises, municipalities and regions. He implemented concepts for regional development by means of local food and energy supply. He built up environmental and sustainability management systems in companies and public entities. Since 2008 Mr. Karg heads a consortium of researchers, knowledge managers and communication specialists to manage and support German Governmental Smart Energy and Electric Mobility programs.

Career
Prof. Dr. Michael Braungart is the scientific director of EPEA International Umweltforschung GmbH (Hamburg, Germany), which he founded in 1987, and is co-founder of McDonough Braungart Design Chemistry (MBDC) in Charlottesville, Virginia. He also co-founded the Hamburger Umwelt Insitute (HUI) in 1989. (These organizations share a common set of values that embrace intelligent, aesthetic and eco-effective design and seek to optimize products within the Cradle to Cradle(r) framework.)
Michael Braungart has been a professor of Process Engineering at the University of Lüneburg (Germany) from 1994. Additionally, since autumn 2008 he has been named to hold a newly funded professorship at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam in collaboration with the TU Delft. Through these activities, Professor Braungart has developed the tools to design eco-effective products and business systems and has worked with a number of organizations and companies in a range of industries. (In 2002 he has accepted a visiting professorship at the Darden School of Business, lecturing on topics such as eco-efficiency and eco-effectiveness, Cradle to Cradle(r) design and Intelligent Materials Pooling, and he continues to lecture at universities all over the world)
Dr. Ing. Natalie Eßig

Career
Natalie Eßig (Dr..-Ing. Architect, DGNB Auditor). After her architectural studies at the Technische Universität Darmstadt (Germany) and at the Politecnico di Torino (Italy) she worked as an architect in the field of energy-efficiency and sustainable buildings. In 2005 she returned to academia as a lecturer and began her dissertation with the topic "Sustainability of Olympic Buildings - Assessment Methods for the Sustainable Performance of Olympic Venues" at the Technische Universität Darmstadt and at the University of Technology, Sydney (Australia) with a scholarship from the German Federal Environmental Foundation (DBU) and from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). The dissertation was finally finished and published in September 2010.
Peter Waeber

Career
Peter Waeber is CEO of bluesign technologies since the foundation in the year 2000 and demanded as an expert and speaker on environmental and sustainable issues worldwide. He's member of the board of the European Outdoor Conservation Association (EOCA). He has studied Chemical and Textile Engineering as well as Economics and started his career as a researcher in the chemical industry following by managing of different Swiss textile mills. Peter Waeber had volunteered as former President of SVTC (Swiss Association of Textile and Chemistry) and as former member and delegate of council IFATCC (International Federation of Associations of Textile Chemists and Colourists). Furthermore he was an active part taker in research & development in cutting-edge technologies for textiles and holds patents in nanotechnology for textiles.

Career
"A keen sportsperson, I have always been highly interested in sustainability, particularly in mountain environments. So much so, that I left a ten_year career in financial management in Paris to go back to school and study towards a Masters in sustainability at a French graduate business school. Following this, I worked for four years for Mountain_Riders, a French NGO focused on encouraging sustainable development in mountain resorts. Here, my roles and responsibilities included international development, plus taking the lead in creating reference frameworks for the evaluation of sustainability in ski resorts and in sports brands. Through working with the brands, to research and write the Eco guide to Mountain gear, I acquired an in-depth understanding of over 100 brands' sustainability policies plus issues around the production of sports gear. Today, I run my own consultancy firm, supporting companies in developing their own approach to sustainability, from concept creation to concrete application."

Tristan A. Foerster is Managing Director of ClimatePartner, one of the world leading climate protection consulting companies. ClimatePartner develops strategies and operations IT-systems for corporations to enable effective climate protection for its over 1.000 clients in more than 20 countries. Foerster has extensive experience in strategy consulting, online business and internationalization of organizations. The German-American citizen studied in Germany and France, majoring in economics and business.
Veit Senner

Career
After having graduated from University in two different study courses, Prof. Senner started his Industrial Career at TÜV Süddeutschland Holding AG. The TÜV is the German leading testhouse and an international service organization catering to the strategic business segments industry, mobility and people. In 2000 Prof. Senner became Department Manager within TÜV Product Service' Business Unit Medical Health Sports. During his time in industry he also continued to work on his University career, receiving his Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering (Dr.-Ing.) in 2001. One year later he has been appointed as Full Professor at German's No.1 University of Technology TECHNISCHE UNIVERSITÄT MÜNCHEN. His major research area is biomechanics related to human - equipment interaction by means of computer simulation. Between 2005 and 2009 he has served as Associate Dean of the Faculty Sport Science. Prof. Senner is President of Germany's Interdisciplinary Association for Sports Technology (divers) and he is member of Executive Committee of International Sports Engineering Association (isea). He is Vice President of the International Society Skiing Trauma and Safety (ISSS), President of the Association Snow Sport Education at German Universities (ASH).
