As always, in 2013 an independent jury of professionals will evaluate the most exceptional sports products entered by exhibitors as well as non-exhibitors. The list of selected products will serve retail as a dependable pre-selection for upcoming collections; members of the press will be able to gain an overview of newsworthy market highlights; and consumers will get a preview of tomorrow’s must-haves.
The freshly redesigned ISPO AWARD 2012 was the first step. Based on the experiences gained during the last year the organizers added several new developments, providing even more value to the ISPO AWARD 2013.
For the first time in 2013 the ISPO AWARD honors the best entries from three areas:

|
The ISPO AWARD PRODUCTS identifies the best products from the multi-faceted selection of sporting goods. In 2013 the formerly separate category of Eco Responsibility will be used as a criteria for the evaluation of all products. This change takes into account today’s requirements for sustainability as an elementary component of the most exceptional products. Companies already following the path to sustainability can thus gain additional bonus points during the evaluation.

With the new addition of the ASIAN PRODUCTS Division ISPO MUNICH offers up and coming Asian companies a fair and professional platform on which they are able to compete with their products and present them to an international jury of industry professionals. The Asian Products Division’s goal is to represent the enormous potential of Asian sporting goods brands, identify its pioneers and thus also infuse new energy into the global market. All companies with headquarters in a country on the Asian continent, which is also a member of the Olympic Council of Asia, may apply. Of course, Asian brands may also enter the competition in the Products Division.

The introduction of the MARKETING Division is the most extensive new addition to the ISPO AWARD 2013. This is the first time the spotlight is put on creative, graphical or conceptual communication services for the sports industry, and honors the best projects and campaigns with the sports business professionals’ award. The competition is open to agencies, marketing departments, graphic designers or photographers. They may enter any project related to the sports business. The campaigns, whether text, still images or video, may also be from an outside industry, provided they communicate a message regarding sports.
